@WaretaGarasu i guess it’s you that put my report fixed. Do you need me to make another report for the 5F and 5EI ? Or is it already good internally ?
Already done.
reports about what?
5F and 5EI counter measures are still slightly incorrect
I got that
Spoiler
The antenna is supposed to be wider than it is tall
Actually it’s the inverse. It’s not tilted to the side, but to the bottom
This is also an antilope apparently, but it’s not the same as yours exactly, so the exact variant could be different
Yes it is possible, the radar has apparently changed quite a bit over the years
Otherwise, a quick question: is Forecast International considered a reliable source? I found one of their articles that talks about the capabilities of the Antelope5.
Microsoft Word - rs5767.doc
The radar would have been improved many times but the documents are confidential and I have no information apart from their names (Antilope 5, 5-3C, 53C, 53C/D, 5-3D, 50 and 5 TC)
would check out, as the photo mentions 5 TC and not the normal 5, prob the one which @Mathll send is the basic ANTILOPE 5, and the one on your photo is 5 TC.
Antilope 5 TC:
Spoiler
No, It is not considered a reliable source.
Considering the RMV is the most modern 2000D in service, wouldn’t any source about the « best » radar be used for the RMV (such as the V TC instead of the regular V) ?
@WaretaGarasu Can Forecast International be considered a reliable source?
I have this document that announces possible radar modes :
Microsoft Word - rs5767.doc
"A number of secondary
capabilities complementary to the delivery mission exist,
including air-to-air search, air-to-air tracking, air-to-air
combat, air-to-surface search, air-to-surface tracking and
air-to-surface ranging. "
No
My bad, didn’t see your previous answer
my S4 cries in so much pain
meanwhile this site cannot be considered source, and doesnt even list radar modes for the antilope radar sets, i find it interesting that it mentions that the 2000N carries antilope 5, and 2000D carries antilope 53c.
also while digging around, on polish wiki (of all places lol, and i know this isnt even reputable source) also lists antilope 5 as the 2000N radar, and antilope 50 as a 2000D radar
ill prolly check out the sources on polish wiki, might even find something there.
i think the lead of 2kN carrying Antilope 5, and 2kD carrying antilope 50, might lead somewhere.
From a Mirage 2000 Brochure
Mirage 2000D-RMV may use Antilope 50, but sources are needed for it.
this book lists the antilope 53c/d as the radar sets fitted on the m2kD as soon as the prototype conversions go, the D 01 and D 02, also lists 2000D R1 with Antilope 53C radar set.
The radar would have been improved many times but the documents are confidential and I have no information apart from their names (Antilope 5, 5-3C, 53C, 53C/D, 5-3D, 50 and 5 TC)
this would also fit to the mathll information about the antilope radars.
