do you even think Gaijin would literally put this aircraft at 13.7? It is recalled everytime that Dev Server is subject to change. We still have a week before patch day, the Dev Server is closing doesn’t mean the dev period is over, it’s just now Gaijin working harder to develop it internally.
Is that really the case? I can only hope so, but please be prepared to go online and see DRVM in its current state (unfortunately)
I would certainly be happy to see Gaijin make changes to DRMV
Brimstone range is closer to 12km and not much more than what you can get from a helicopter.
Purely limited by guidance time.
Yeah that’s why it’s subject to change, by performance wise, because the main difference is that the DRMV can guide missile via HMD, at maximum this would go for 12.3 BR.
Less air to air offensive armaments but better defensive subsystems compared to the 12.3 M2K CS4, seems that would be fair for a BR placement.
Fundementally, I think the issue with the RMV as some have pointed out is that the weapons that make it “unique” are either too advanced for the current state of the game (MICA IR), or should not be able to be used in ground battles (AASM Hammer), which effectively just neuters the jet.
I think gaijin really really needs to start putting effort into expanding the current air EC mode (such as sim) with bigger maps and more diverse and complex objectives, along with brining the gamemode to air RB, and begins limiting munitions to certain gamemodes. As it stands, many strike aircrafts are beginning to look too strong to be fair or balanced in GFRB, while coming to the game devoid of unique and interesting munitions simply because there is no balanced way or in some cases, gameplay reasons (such as the case of the Grom-1E cruise missile the russians almost got) to implement them in-game.
The general WT gameplay loop and overall game design appears to largely be the factor getting in the way of future implementations into the game at this point, which, with any luck, might finally get gaijin to slow down a bit and start improving the game instead of just cramming as many vehicles into the game as fast as they can.
Definitely. Actually it was the same issue with the 2000-5 which came too early before ARH. And before that it was the mirage F1 coming late, only one update before the F-14 (as if gaijin decided to go along with the memes).
It seems Gaijin has an issue with timing on french air additions. But I guess too early is better than too late at the end of the day.
I hope they keep this up and add Rafale soon lol.
That would be nice.
But i fear the rafale will be treated more like the F1 :/
How so? the Rafale is more capable than any aircraft we have in-game currently, with likely similar, though superior flight performance to the J-10A which is already one of the best aircrafts in-game FM-wise, while also having better weapons and avionics than many of the aircrafts in-game.
I think the Rafale will come very soon, 2 major updates away most likely, as the F/A-18’s will be added in the near future, likely followed by early EFT’s and Rafales alongside some newer russian/chinese aircrafts, but don’t really see how it could be added in a balanced manner anytime sooner…
I don’t expect the rafale to come right now. It is indeed stronger than what we have now.
If it come in 2 major update or something like that it would be nice, but I fear it won’t and instead comes way after other late 4th Gen. I hope i’m wrong though.
I doubt itll come much later than other late 4th gens. Afaik, the Eurofighter outperforms it FM-wise, while the early Rafale outperforms the Early EFT in avionics and ground attack capabilities. As for the russian/chinese stuff, I admittedly dont know a whole lot to comment on them. I suspect the J-10C and Rafale will be added around the same time, as they should be roughly the same FM-wise. The Flanker series of jets that will continue to dominate the Russian TT and some of the chinese ones have (to my understanding) some drag issues at the moment which may continue to hold them back in dogfights if not addressed, though with the implementation of more advanced IR missiles, their fantastic nose authority might just save them.
I cant really see the Rafale coming “late”, they’re overall fantastic jets, exceeding the M2K in basically every way, and the M2K is one of the best jets currently in-game. Only way the Rafale could possibly come “late” is if they somehow wait until they add some of the latest variants of stuff like the EFT and the likes before they add the early Rafales, which I seriously doubt.
please dont show this to gaijin, i wanna keep 530D’s
The French coalition has far better sources on the plane which were used to accurately depict it in the game. No worries.
Earliest Rafale M (F.1 Standard) is very limited weaponnary wise and in such it could be added next updatewithout any problem (considering that Gaijin always add French Vehicules with a lot of Nerfs aswell)
Rafale F1 is so self nerfed gaijin wouldn’t even have to nerf it LMAO.
But Gaijin will nerf it Flight model wise,…
We can expect the Rafale F.1 to have a drag coefficient and Oswald number that makes the Super Mystere B2 and Su-27 laugh at how terrible it loses energy in turns if gaijin’s behavior continues.
Gaijin will need to spend a lot of time with the flight models for the Rafale and Typhoon when they come. Being both inherantly unstable will no dount cause issues.
