Mirage 2000 Thread : Variants, performance, characteristics and sources

I think a few years ago they still dealt with it but it must be 2 or 3 years that realism has passed by the hatch

There is different BR for Ground and AIR RB. In Ground it can be 12.7 and in air RB it can be 12.3.

You forgot that?

Hold your horses. The chances that the RMV is getting MICA IR for this update is about 0%. from viable sources the devs are considering adding it with MICA EM

Guh what are you even saying

im 90% sure the EM and the RF are the exact same missile.

no I haven’t forgotten it but if we base ourselves on what gaijin does to balance the attack planes the Mirage 2000D RMV will be at least 13.0 in air battle and even that is being optimistic. Which means permanently uptiers in the air

love how these br changes really only compressed more

It would be incredible to fire radar-guided air-to-air missiles from a plane that supposedly has no air-to-air radar.

Firing in Mad dog is possible. For example, Baz Meshupar didn’t have TWS or datalink channels and radar was basically only used to uncage the AMRAAM. IF hypothetically we had MICA-EM, it would be similar to BAZ M situation, but with no uncaging.

what do you mean by this

Ok, didn’t know if bout that. But I doubt we will have this considering we don’t have datalink in game

I dont really understand what you mean by uncaging. Baz M radar was used with STT or RAM mode provoding non datalink guidance for the whole flight path. But that has changed since addition of TWS and DL to its radar.

Mad dog launch is considered as LOAL FOX3 launch without DL or STT support. In such case FOX3’s seeker is in constant ACQ mode and locks on the 1st radar signature it sees. We dont have such mechanics in game.

Mirage 2000D RMV radar is not compatible with MICA-EM anyway so it wont be getting them.

Baz M didn’t have DL or STT support for AMRAAMs for 2,5 moths. You were basically Mad dogging it, but you were able to uncage the seeker and lead.

Hi, I am looking into the Mirage 2000D RMV radar and I came across an unofficial source but it is the only one I could find information about the Radar on.

This source states that the radar has 6 operating modes:

  • Terrain Following (not modeled in the game)
  • Ground Mapping (not modeled in the game)
  • Terrain Following and Ground Mapping
  • Ground Target ranging (targeting like what the Su-39 radar can do with an estimated “lock” range of 8nm)
  • Air to Air (16nm range with a 160° scan, Boresight and Slew submodes possible)
  • Air to sea (mapping and targeting of maritime targets)

Does anyone know if these are the real characteristics of the Antolope V or are these the real characteristics ?

As far as I’m aware, 2000D RMV uses Antelope 50.
Antelope V is the one used on R1

Ah ok, the air force brochures I have at home referred to the 2000D RMV radar as the Antolope V,.

What are the differences with the Antilope 50 ?

It’s a slight updgrade as far as I know, the antelope 5 and 50 radar air to air mode is basically only used for aerial refueling as far as I know.

Just saying what the devs intend to do as of now. I don’t agree with this decision, but that’s probably what we will end up with.

With the current teaser introducing custom afterburner, I guess it is time for MICA also got its custom afterburner?

I could only see the afterburners for the F-15E and Su-34 in the video, but I’m curious if they make variations for other aircraft as well.

I don’t think it’s hard to implemented it, they could’ve just steal those custom afterburners made in War Thunder Live lmfao.
