Mirage 2000 Thread : Variants, performance, characteristics and sources

Are you sure that’s an RWR antenna, not seen one like that before. Looks more like Comms or maybe ECM.

Restricted Distribution ಠಿ_ಠ

As you see above, it is a sensor for Serval RWR.

Can be found on French gov links publicly available :)))), although without the manual cover.

I assumed as much, just thought it was silly :>

The jammer for the Mirage 2000 is found on the back of the aircraft.

The red area should be the only RWR dead-zone for the Mirage 2000 family.

what about below the aircraft tho?

I already covered that with the omni-directional antenna in the posts above.

Just pointing out that it changed on the 5F, also what about the one up front?

Explain?

The angled antenna was exchanged for this smaller one, and I’m trying to understand what’s the second one for, one closer to the radome.
Also idk why it’s not on the pic you posted

The pic I posted was of a twin-seater Mirage 2000-5F which I’m not sure why it didn’t have it. You can tell it is a Mirage 2000-5F Mk2 due to RDY written on the side of it. For the antenna closer to the radome, I’ve been told it is an extra communication antenna, sources just write “new blade aerials” when referring to it.

my bad - done some research

Interesting photos of loaded M2K-5F’s
