Maybe because it is all aspect and 530D currently doesn’t favour all aspect. It works well on 2000C because you use it on high closing targets, where the sidelobes from the radar are less likely to interfere.
Well why tho cuz 530D should be, and i insist on SHOULD BE, better than AIM 7F and M in terms of tracking and AIM 7F/M in game works quite fine in all aspect so 530D should but noe we are kind of left with a half performing armament on a half performing plane because Gaijin keeps a very healthy style of game balancing since it was created.
Gaijin simply doesn’t balance weapons relative to each other, they only base their modeling on the sources they gather and the ones we provide to them.
According to former Mirage 2000 pilots and technicians the real life performance of the Super 530D should be much better than we see in the game currently (especially at high altitude where it should have performance closer to what the R-27ER can do in the game).
The problem seems to be that the publicly available information about the Super 530D majorly downplay its performance meanwhile the primary sources are still classified and any attempt to share such information will obviously be instantly wiped off the internet.
The Super 530D is overall performing as intended according to public information minus the things that have already been bug reported.
I think we will not see the true performance of the Super 530D until we either find still classified information in public documents or they simply become declassified.
The best thing to do for now is to continue looking for information and to make sure the bug reports are passed to the devs and implemented.
As I already said a lot previously MICA may not be that far from being in game as PL12 = AIM-120C but from wish, and R77 almost equals MICA in terms of performance and Russia has not many other Fox 3 of such category as the R33 Fox3 would be a phenix but from USSR. So May optimism and gaijin planification give us hope towards the soon arrival of MICA EM.
well im not sure the jump gaijin wants to take with each nation but we will have to see, and for the pl12 on the j8f cant it only carry 2
Well i don’t consider there will be much more of a jump as Fox3 are somewhat easier to dodge than fox1 as they are fire and forget and not fully guided to target with plane radar except if the pilot chose to keep lock and advanced fox 3 would be like Actual Fox2 maneuveravility with range of current medium range Fox1 like AIM7F and R27. Plus all those advanced missile probably will arrive gimped in game.
Skyflash missiles have been reported to have a mechanism to differentiate between two targets that are traveling together closely, we can only hope that they introduce this as something for ALL SARH missiles. Would solve a lot of these issues.
well if Jupiter is considered the second target then that would be nice because my missiles love space
they really need to think about rework missile to be equal a least to the reality and then how implement MICA missiles, to perform at least better than 530D and better than R27 and Python.
Of course, they won’t free all the missile capability before AIM 120 and flare mecanics are corretly added
Radar bug that gets stuck in ACM lock, and then a missile bug where the missile self-explodes despite the target being in a head-on aspect. Very nice. @k_stepanovich can these issues get resolved? The bugs are impacting gameplay significantly.

Community Bug Reporting System SARH missile self-exploded when it shouldn’t
In my experience, missile only self-explodes when it shouldn’t, because it is targeting a swing-wing aircraft like an F-14, Mig-23, and etc.
I would say, i understand why most of players flies the M23 or F4 aircraft, no missiles bug.
while french radar and missiles are buggy.
F-14 currently suffering a multitude of radar related bugs. MiG-29 was also on release. F-4 and MiG-23 radar modes are still over-simplified / missing features. France isn’t alone in radar related bugs.
Seems drag chute still won’t deploy if you take CMs on the Mirage 2k
I think it has been fixed recently
Itll deploy if you dispense all the CMs before landing.
Just tried that a few days ago wasn’t working. Will have to try again when home
This is an interesting observation. I’ll see if I can catch instances of this during matches. Do you think it’s more prominent when fired in a particular aspect?
I used the countermeasure series keybind. Maybe that makes a difference.
I tested it in test flight using countermeasure series keybind.
