Mirage 2000 Thread : Variants, performance, characteristics and sources

Thats what im thinking as their is no way they are adding aim9x soon

That and even magic 2 isn’t completely modelled

Do someone finds the Magic 2 is weird since few days? It feel like it isn’t pulling any Gs and it is moving in “waves”… It can’t even reach planes 2 km from me… did I do something wrong in the parameters?

On dev server or live

Live

It’s strange, it’s been like two days since it started, before I had no problem it was pretty reliable…

Try the new Magic 2 on dev server and see what you think of it.

Yeah, we’re still due another 3-4 more iterations of “buffs” for the Magic 2. And we’re supposed to get Python 4 and AIM-9X Block 1 before we even get to the IIR + Datalink territory.

Rear MICA pylons for Mirage 2000-5F should be angled downwards

Changes to the AS-30L, I dont know what all these changes mean, if someone is able to explan it to me

I can see that it has inertial guidance now but does this mean that it can be launched from 12km aswell? (Asking if it will be inertially guided between 10-km12km before being guided by the laser)

It means you should be able to launch it from whatever range you want to, and you can lose lock with the laser, and turn it back on if need be without the missile self exploding, so long as the missile has battery time (22 seconds). Right now though, there’s some bugs with these new changes which hopefully I’ll get some reports done tonight.

Well the limitation is the battery life 24 seconds is just not enough unless flying from space at over mach

Can you try in user mission or in battle and check replay sensor function? Fire at stationary target and observe if the AOA value goes up and down quickly, if yes, then it loses energy and speed due to wobling.

Its not wobbling tho? The performance hasnt changed since they added spin in warthunder

you can clearly see it isn’t just aileron rolling, but barrel rolling, which is a form of wobble for missiles

No its not, you would know if you ever launched them.
Its just a visual effect from visRotationFreqX same as vikhr, nothing missile actually does

Also dev is down

That’s relieving to hear, thank you

Do note that in test drive, all missiles work perfectly but in live battles they have tendency to wobble or work less well (ex: R-73 thrust vectoring). I would check myself but dev server is not open and the new sensor function shows aoa

The changes may be about the auto changes of modes when locking on someone.
