Mirage 2000 Thread : Variants, performance, characteristics and sources

For forwarding the report the source source (cover and relevant page) is needed. I will put the report on-hold so you will have the time to find it.

Quick question, I just found the book in digital format but I will probably have to buy it, is the source considered a primary source? Just so I don’t buy it for nothing

Is it just me that the wing vapour are missing?

Published by Armèe de l’air. Yes

I just tested the M2000 chaff and it was changed to 2 pops instead of 1 pop.

Mirage 2000 Chaff from ICD is 2 pops while from everything else is 1 pops.

I’ll see if I’m going to buy it, the problem is that I currently have a lot of sources but none of them give identical information, the only thing that is more or less certain is that the air-to-air capacity is very poor on the original version (the plane would have trouble finding a KC-135 at more than 5nm) so I’m not sure of the relevance of what I can say.

The radar would have been improved many times but the documents are confidential and I have no information apart from their names (Antilope 5, 5-3C, 53C, 53C/D, 5-3D, 50 and 5 TC)

For the moment the radar is missing A-G Modes as well, while it is WIP it can be reported. Basic A-A Modes (ACM and SRC) is here.

Is there any chance of getting chaff back to 1 pop?

Basic A-A Modes (ACM and SRC) is here.

what? i just test flew both D R-1 and D RMV and the only thing they have access to is A2G search and A-A ACM

SRC mode is surprising so far, it allows you to find moving tanks and boats

Well you are correct apologies, just checked now

Hello @Mathll. Do you have any pictures of Antilope V?

@WaretaGarasu i guess it’s you that put my report fixed. Do you need me to make another report for the 5F and 5EI ? Or is it already good internally ?

Already done.

5F and 5EI counter measures are still slightly incorrect

The antenna is supposed to be wider than it is tall

Actually it’s the inverse. It’s not tilted to the side, but to the bottom

This is also an antilope apparently, but it’s not the same as yours exactly, so the exact variant could be different

Yes it is possible, the radar has apparently changed quite a bit over the years

Otherwise, a quick question: is Forecast International considered a reliable source? I found one of their articles that talks about the capabilities of the Antelope5.
