AH-129D uses M197 (20x102 mm) while M781 from HAD uses 30x113 mm designed to engage light armored vehicle and soldier (precision rocket aceuleus and AGM being there to engage heavy armor)
Btw as a reminder the DEFA from the mirage family are also using 30x113 ammo but it is no compatible with the 30x113 of the M781
I don’t believe the 5F or Etendard IV variant in-game can carry it. The SEM should be able to carry two, but I believe that carrying 1 was the standard procedure.
That’s not a Mirage 5F (If we got a Mirage 50 variant, that could also carry it), that’s a Mirage 2000. If we got an Exocet on the Mirage 2000 series, we should get the AM39 variant of the Exocet as well rather than the older one.
Me neither but I’m assuming its just French doctrine. French fighters never load up on atams only one I can think of is the mirage 4000 with triple racks but that wasn’t adopted.
Super étendard always loaded only one, the other pylon was used for an additional fuel tank to increase the range of the aircraft the Exocet otherwise the aircraft wouldn’t be able to comeback as it would have consumed all the fuel it had.
Afaik SuE had to remove the gunpack to use the Exocet
I’m not asking that it was off topic I was only wondering if the Super Etendard can carry more than one i know why they only carry 1 irl im wondering if it can simple. The 2000-5f being brought up was a miscommunication he was talking about the mirage 5f not the 2000-5f which i didnt realize.
after you shoot the missile the fov of the missile goes down so it has a harder time getting fooled by chaff there really is no right way to launch it rn the irccm is completely dependent on the other players reaction time tbh
You just want to launch them as close to the enemy so they dont have enough time to react or is too close to flare. The problem with that is the long fuse time of the missile.
It comes down to feeling really, too many situations for one simple answer.
