R-27ER and AIM-7F/M are equal.
The ER is on worse radars so its tracking is slightly worse, as well as BVR limited based on search rate and range of the host radars.
ER makes up for this by being faster. In a perfect 1v1, the AIM-7 launches first by 20km, then the ER, and both aircraft frag each other.
Now, onto close range where these missiles are actually used.
Both have no guidance delay.
Both are highly maneuverable, but not as maneuverable as R-27R [the standard R-27] due to the lower AOA and thrust of AIM-7 causing its lower maneuverability compared to R-27R, and the higher thrust of R-27ER causing it to be lower maneuverability compared to R-27R.
However, both are meta in maneuverability.
THAT is why they are equal to me, host radar, range, and maneuverability.
The speed difference largely impacts maneuverability more than anything else.
So now you are indeed changing your argument to include differences of missiles and their platforms when confronted about your logic of everything being equal because they can both be notched. typical?
