Mikoyan MiG-25RB: Catch Me If You Can

The F-117A with no guns or missiles, no countermeasures, only two bombs and not even supersonic is at 8.7. Meanwhile this thing can go mach 3… Do you still want it at 9.0?

Tbh its speed would allow it to evade a lot of threats so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work at around 10.0

That’s a terrible idea. The F-104 can reliably out run AIM-9B’s and R-3S’s and that’s a BR of 9.3. Putting this at 9.0 would be way too much.

will probably sky rocket in br due to being a effective bomber according to gaijin same reason F4C is so high is everyone bombs would be neat shoot aim54s at +1

Good suggestion, well done.

However, in the face of the BM version this one is redundant. As we have now proven that the BM could carry the exact same payload and had the ability to use R-60s and SEAD weapons (whilst also carrying its bombs). The new evidence is in the suggestion comments.

Meanwhile, apparently the RBF version was tested with flares. So if any of the RB bombers get added they should either be the RBF or the BM.

Would you mind providing this supposed evidence? Because I see nothing but unfounded claims in that thread…
There is an offhand mention of countermeasures on the RBF, but that’s not elaborated in in any other section of Gordon’s book. I haven’t been able to find any photos of the RBF’s countermeasures.
Also please don’t derail a suggestion thread to try to draw attention to your own suggestion. Probably not what you’re doing here but keep that in mind
Even without countermeasures or R-60s the MiG-25BM is a very different aircraft from the RB

Tbh I really liked Yak-28B. Its good bomber.

Well bombs for MiG-25BM are confirmed and SPO-15 and anti-radar stuff is only bonus to it.

+there are some changes in hull

Wait who’s saying MiG-25BM can use R-60s or has KDS-155?

(I just came here and haven’t read up)

I definitely want see bomber variant of MiG-25 in game (although I would prefer BM).

There are some uncormfirmed sources for R-60 and KDS-155 was allegedly on RBF. Since Gaijin only needs technical ability to mount it, BM could get them.

Like you’d need RBF to have it, Gaijin would give every MiG-25 KDS-155 because PDSG/L and export PD/PDS’s w/ it exist…

Though I kinda doubt it’d get R-60s, but at this point I wouldn’t be surprised…

You dont need RBF. The ability to carry them is enough for a Gaijin (see MiG-23 or F-5). But even RBF would be a better option than RB. It still use SPO-15.

Pretty sure MiG-25BM had SPO-15L as a part of the Jaguar system.

Yep you are right.

Literally an image of a cockpit showing a weapons selection indicator…

Here: Cockpit MiG-25BM

With all due respect, the MiG-25RB is redundant compared to the BM (War Thunder context). Because BM can literally do the same job, and also carry SEAD and R-60s. Not to mention that it packs a better power plant and an SPO-15.

“Much like any aircraft at the time with the option of R-60Ms for self defence, the MiG-25BM used dual APU-60-2 pylons, so it utilized four of those missiles if arranged”

Where do you see APU-60-2 mentioned beneath the MiG-25BM section, it doesn’t exist in my copy of the book.
