Looks like astra

It seems to be mostly based of the original R-77 with the changing of the fins to a more conventional design

Yeah, it’s basically exactly the the same stats as r-77.
Low k surprised the max ranges given aren’t higher considering the removal of grid fins.
Though the min ranges being much higher than r-77 makes sense.

Im hoping we can see them get put in to production and integrated in to their fighter fleets and SAMs

It was announced that Norway and Kongsberg wanted to integrate a cheaper domestic system in to the NASAMS for Ukraine instead of using more expensive westerns missiles. So maybe there is a possibility of western funded production of it

Should i remind you that R-77-1 got increased range because of a slightly better engine, aerodynamic tweaks and INCREASED BATTERY LIFE?

Doubt it. R-77 production was all but abandoned because no one outside of Russia was really interested in purchases, and Ukraine made a fantastic decision to not trade with only buyer. Restoring production will be… challenging to say the least.

Oh look the exact same post that you have been making for 3+ years that has already been thoroughly debunked.

How so, what is debunked? What take-off thrust?

Wait. Is this Mig-29G manual?

No.

You can’t even determine what MiG-29 this manual is referring to. What makes you think it applies to every MiG-29 that ever flew?

Because the name MiG-29 is in it? lmfao.

Comrade this is Russia we have no need for such things.

Actually, Russian military airworthiness standards (GOST-RV) often demand higher tolerances for takeoff thrust on “unimproved” runways.

dude the soviets cared a lot for their pilots how do you think kvochur survived this https://youtu.be/N0gfzMrAHoI?si=PwwmnHa0Pxrgvryp
