miggys are awesome in 1C while being one of the best 2C fighters behind only the f16 and maybe the f14, unfortunately in RB it can’t do both well

The Mig29 should perform better.

I blame the R-27ERs. Because GJ can just say, “they have the ER, the MiG-29 is good enough” without really perfecting its FM.

Also, Please don’t forget the Flanker! is both a 1 circle & 2 circle fighter. It has no problem in a rate fight & is happy to do it.

The Flanker is the most aerodynamically perfected design in the world & is still studied to this day. What fighter in all the world is Mach 2+, can perform 90 degrees+ angle of attack, controlled side slipping (supermaneuverable) without thrust vectoring?

There is not a single fighter in the world, not even the F-22, just the Sukhoi 27 :)

The flanker is a monster, funnily enough IRL the plane that’s most to blame for the mig29 K/D is the su27 lol. It’s just that i’m more of a fulcrum man when talking about russian stuff, i know that compared to other 4th gen the 29 is probably the less capable jet because of bvr stuff, but i just love its simplicity.

We need the Product 9-18 (SMT upgrade without fuel tank 1) if GJ feels the SMT cannot be improved.

Without the fuel tank does mean its lighter because less fuel pumps, etc. less surface panels too since it is not enlarged in the spine.

@ZVO_12_INCH do you know if the SMT has 2x ER/ET x2 R/T capability in one loadout like the K? Not sure if the K has 4x ER capability. Never seen it.

I think we should get the Yemeni one instead as a premium jet. 2 non premium SMT doesn’t make any sense.

That angle of attack seems a little fake too. But because it’s you, I will believe it.

I remain 100% correct. No fighter is quite like the Flanker. Not even the F-22.

If its a model with 4 pylons then yes it would, they all share that same capacity

I only ever saw the variants with 8 pylons carry 4x R-27, so that would be MiG-29M and K variants. They have structural improvements too

Spin tests of the F-15, there they achieved the stated AoA, by the way, above 24 AoA the Su 27 can be somewhat problematic, so it is more accurate to talk about 24 AoA for the Su 27,but it depends on each one’s choice.

Well then you need to put in a bug report because the F-15 is not pulling any where near 120+ degrees angles of attack at any speed in full real. I have all F-15s :)

If its not referring to all accomplishments of every variant, where do you place the F-15 STOL/MTD’s AoA?
At 180+ degrees with its canards & thrust vectoring?

Remember, the F-15 doesn’t have a movable leading edge wing or slots.
And yet it can tail slide, stable AoA near 40, Mach 2.5, isn’t that fantastic?

It’s not controlled. The F-15 is not capable of doing a Pugachev’s Cobra, J-turn, Kvochur’s Bell.

It will enter a deep stall. The Su27 will not.

The Mig-29 can only cobra & hit 90 degrees. It’s not capable of controlled side slipping.

This is not accurate, a normal pilot will not give any of these maneuvers. The average pilot stayed below 24 AoA, and the better ones got above. Look for nothing more than that.

The cobra may not, the other maneuvers are highly effective in dogfights. So effective the Americans had a change of heart & equipped their 5th generation air superiority fighters with thrust vectoring.
