it’s of questionable accuracy. 9.31 was able to carry R-77s on outermost pylons, how 9.41 lost that ability if it’s designed from it is a mystery.

Hmmm. My understanding was this one had weight limitations on outer pylons.
My uderstanding was the same as well, until i saw a photo of MiG-29K 9.31 with 2 R-77s on folded wing

It wouldn’t be the first time a later iteration loses functionality not deemed necessary, but would be a bit odd to lose 77s.

obviously this is hardly a proof, but why would they put R-77-1s on the outermost pylons on a mock-up if it couldn’t carry them there is an interesting question

Might be just for airframe maintenance/longevity purposes, if the 9.31’s could take them on outer pylons surely 9.41’s would be able to if push came to shove
Will leave it to souls more familiar than I to speculate on.
All in all, if Gaijin would insist on keeping it 13.7 with 32 countermeasures and 6 Fox-3s, giving it R-77-1s would be a good option. F-16I sits at 13.7 with AIM-120Cs after all

77-1s are more versatile tbh. but with 64 CM and [probably] nerfed thrust it might fit. not sure tho

Pretty sure them being more versatile is partially why they’re being suggested. At the rating with limited CMs and missiles, 77-1 is pretty reasonable. Not like it is carrying the world ending number of AAMs of the Su 30. Zhuk is also not the greatest radar in the world.
they are, but by gaijin logic both are next tier Fox-3s.
and Sufa is close to MiG-29K in terms of performance, after engines on 29K will be put to their accurate performance they will probably be about even

i don’t deny pig-29s are mid jets that need some love, but in fact 13+ br is already dominated by sukhois, so
if they nerf thrust while still making it overheat at 110%, i aint touching that pig
So your logic is that the bracket is held by sukhois so 29s shouldn’t carry armament to make them competitive? Or at least less terrible. Seems a touch silly.
no my logic is that pig-29 can dominate entire brackets that it touches even with r-77 if it gets good fm. 16C is good example of jet that has crazy thrust (even at high alt) and good rate and control even at low speed+good avionics+okish missiles so it can survive well up to 14.0. if mig-29 gets at least something like ADF FM, it’s current avionics and 6 r-77s+2 r-73s (which seem being better now even in comparison to live but it’s my speculations), then it will already be among best even with 64 CMs
probably because of the server load. gaijin already explained that when someone asked why R-73s perform better on dev and if it’s a shadow buff to them
Basically, because there are way less people, TVC code works faster and more reliable

not really. it spinned out on previous dev version, right after Glimit fix. but ofc i’m aware that such issues can happen. i can only smoke hopium. also let me know if this vid is not working for you, because i try to switch recording format between av1 and hevc in NVIDIA softino and it behaves weird
