Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

9000kgf feels like an odd number. Are you sure the brochure didn’t just round down to the nearest thousand? The brochure used in the report especially seems like it’s just using ballpark figures

Well, this stand gives 9000 thrust for afterburner (i know, quality is simply superb but i couldn’t find a better photo) with 5300 on mil power

maybe, but there would be no way of proving that since all figures give 9000kgf even from migs website says 9000kgf

so it would probably require a primary source manual or something which there is probably no chance of getting

Lowkey hoping the 9420 figure is from gaijin’s internal (sekrit) documents. I do agree that if 9000kgf is accepted and implemented there is 0% chance a bug report will ever get it changed back due to lack of sources.

maybe the 9.15 has around 7% loss so i would put the 9.41R at around 7-5% if i was to guess

Can you use them against planes or will they miss like in the event?

I tried to use it but it seems airborne radars are completely ignored

Well… then prb have to wait for R27EP…

Russian Ks have something in place of a middle mirror, where one of the HMD sensors would go on MiG-29M/MiG-35

Thats quite a small pilot.

Vietnam joins the War Thunder (IRL Su-30MK2V has modified ejection seat and cockpit to accomodate smaller frame of a Vietnam pilots)
