rather than a nose gear position issue is the apring tension just too high for the yak in wt
no radar or radar missiles
so even if it had the r-73 ingame i wouldnt see it being higher than 12.7
its kinda in a similar position as the french squadron f16, br wise
or gaijin only gives it the r60 and makes it 12.0

There is like whole ass 3 AIM-120 carriers for it to face uless it’s a full uptier. And full uptiers at 12.3 are very rare, you are most likely to get 12.0 downtiers to bully Phantoms.
For 12.7 ones you aren’t really loosing much as well, because R-27ER combined with N019 and MiG-29 FM is nowhere near as good and reliable as with N001 on a Su-27. And, well, after the latest sale you aren’t gonna see much uptiers as well, R-27R + R-73 still gonna do work

They are indeed rare. I am playing 12.7 F-15A pretty much constantly nowadays, and i usually get 1 uptier in 3-5 downtiers. Same was for 13.0 F-14B.
