Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

Yes so 24 AOA = 9G at 675 KPH (.55) with 1500 Kg fuel

26 AOA = 9G at 666 KPH (.54) same fuel

Here’s the chart with just g load 25 percent fuel

At sea level the greatest ITR is 27 D/S with just 25% fuel and nothing else.

The Greatest sustained G - rate is 20.1 D/S at 900 KPH 9G also 25% with no weapons.

To compare to my goat (for when I next fight this thing)
Both at .5 Mach

95% internal fuel AV-8B with 2 missiles and guns - ITR 18.2 D/S (wing only no VIFF - 65% LERX 20 degrees AOA) 13.7 D/S (84% throttle) sustained

MiG-29 25% fuel 2xR27 4xR60 - ITR 22.9 D/S (26 Degrees AOA) Sustained 15.88 D/S (Maximum Afterburner)

That’s from book 1 right? For stuff like that you should use book 2 of the su27sk manual, it gives charts with more context

Yes 24 at .5 Mach

am I a bad person for loitering between the two Strategic Bomber spawns in a MiG-29 as soon as the game reaches level 3, just waiting for a B-52 to show up?

@kizvy

Well i’m confused now.

Can someone explain to me what modifications went into the sniper?

1500 KG fuel as per charts.

.5 Mach the expected G was 7 game value was 8G

.5 Sustained G expected was 5.25 clean Max AB game was 6.1

If anything it looks like the Fulcrum is overperforming significantly.

i know :)

Can you check total/gross weight.

If it’s 13000 kg then it should be inline with the charts.

Currently fm is tuned towards this chart

you just changed the chart

Yes the weight is 13000

I rechecked the bug report and the second chart was the one they gave in the responses the bug report itself used the chart I og put

So you should be testing using that chart as that’s the one they use for the fm rn

Kinda makes no sense.

Can i see the full page

Basically left axis is time in seconds to complete a circle (top chart) at a given speed

You cant be serious broski.

Again this is the Russian cope gang misinterpreting the charts. THIS IS NOT SUSTAINED TURN RATES.

This is as follow. If at X speed and you pull the the maximum allowable G limit what is the average turning time when pulling to the max performance.

At the lower speeds its stated to be limited by the AOA and thrust where thrust and AOA limiting drag are equal. (Corresponds to a speed of 300-400 kph)

Well it was the response for a sustained turn rate report.
Idk honestly, I wasn’t the one who made it

I would assume the graph is sustained turn rate cause the report itself is about sustained turn

Someone already reported it it looks like

So looks like it’s overperforming in available pull like the mig-25 lol

@Jadenbetter-live
Your report for the mig-29 notch gates is slightly incorrect, as the notch gates in that report is only for ranges above 15 km and for only detecting, not tracking a target. Below 15 km it’s ±50 and above that it’s ±150. The notch filter for detection also depends what what search mode you’re in
