What’s the difference? Isn’t the 9.15D just the prototype or something?
It is the prototype. Made out of old 9.15 airframe № 154. Serial production MiG-35s are based on 9.41S (or SM, hard to say for sure) airframe

I see… Well that would complicate things since we don’t have a lot of proof of the Serial MiG-35s carrying R-27s.
However, the Zhuk-AE brochure Balta sent me a while ago specifically stats R-27 compatibility, Which I would assume is enough for Gaijin.
Assuming, of course, We get a MiG-35 with Zhuk-AE.
Or even if we get one with Zhuk-M, since we know that’s compatable.
Plus Rosboronexport stated that the MiG-35 is compatable with the “A-A Weapon classes” on the MiG-29K and M/M2.
And we know the 29M can use R-27s
Serial 35s carry Zhuk-M, same as MiG-29KR and it is also compatible with R-27, unfortunately, this doesn’t mean that aircraft itself is compatible

Obviously you are confusing MiG-29KR with MiG-29K 9.31

Also Balta sent me this a while ago.
Footage of 9.15D with R-27s.
And, surprisingly, the two fins on the R-77s are still missing.
those are mock-ups, so not that surprising.
9.15D would be cool event jet to get, while 9.41SR being in a tech tree

It can see targets from 100km on tws hdn mode now.

Well don’t you know?
Downgraded, unmaintained models got slammed by the U.S. in Iraq by the most modern U.S. Fighters.
So obviously the MiG-29 is a flawed platform.
