Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 1)

But it shouldn’t. R-77 didn’t even exist at the time. And Yak-141 was canned before it appeared. Sure Zhuk can be updated to be compatible with them, but i don’t want another F-5C with missiles from the future.

when the patch will exist?

he was talking about the Yak-141 and not the 29M

please people start reading the context to a message before replying

Fair enough mb

I was reading earlier about someone saying the 29M wasnt compatible/didnt have HMS so my brain was focused on that rather than the Yak-141 part.

Also wasnt the n010-F incompatible with the R-77 when the Yak was being tested? I think it was something with the software not being updated despite pictures of dummy R-77s being mounted on it.

Wouldn’t want them to get 77s anyway it would suffer at higher BRs IMO

Well, it wasn’t even test firedf from 141. Sure it was in production and even finished trials around the same time as Yak-141 was abandoned, but it was officially accepted into service 2 years after

Wutttt?

F-5c would’ve only used 9bs and not es irl.
Not that much of a difference tbh

Wouldn’t make any difference in terms of practice tbh, also as far as I know those rails are compatible with more advanced Sidewinders and doesnt require additional upgrades.

F-5C airframes were converted back to F-5A before 9E even hit the production

Nice, got a link or is it internal?

Technically speaking Taiwan F-5A model also uses Aim-9P’s so I believe those F-5’s could also use more advanced Sidewinders.

the F-5C is a very specific model

the US basically borrowed F-5A’s (from Taiwan i think) and then put the aireal refuling stuff onto it for testing

after that testing was done they were converted back to normal F-5A’s and were given back

This also applies for su-27 as well or just mig-29?

Well, the tilt angle definitely applies to the H001 as well, since I sent a source above that directly indicates where on the panel the antenna tilt angle is adjusted. I’ll clarify regarding the azimuth in the TWS.

But in fact, I’m 95% sure that everything is the same, since the radars are very similar in functionality.
