Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29/35 Fulcrum - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

it seems that gaijin took MiG-29M 9.15 numbers again for MiG-35 so i expect a lot of revision for armament

Is there anything about use of more modern bombs? KAG-250LG would be nice

there is this one old brochure that mentions the KAB-250 for it
image

only mentions KAG500LG not 250LG :(

Rip laser gps bombs always forced to kh38

it says KAB-250L
image

what’s the difference between LG and L? LG gets gps alongside laser?

not to sure tbh

LG have gimballed “P-Nav” laser sensors

L have “bang-bang” guidance laser sensors

Plus the KAB-250LG has GNSS, but not the KAB-500LG, so unrelated to the suffix

edit - clarification

Lmao F

Maybe ovt for the Mig29M…

It’s data presented by MiG so … as for some of the options ( like R-60M ) being ‘‘obsolete’’ that does not mean that the option is not there. You have to account for the fact that MiG-35 was primarily created for export , not all export customers are willing to buy latest armament so integration of older armament is logical.

there is no difference in engine performance at 109% and 110% throttle

this is the difference at 108% is about 10kgf more for the dev server engine

and it still takes the same ammount of time for the engines to overheat
