looks like its still overperforming slightly in game
AFAIK it was only a prototype with aerial refueling capability, nothing more.
With KDS-155 and SPO-15. Here is photo of PDZ (there is also second photo of it). I dont know about any photos of PDSL.
That limited thrust vectoring which it reportedly had was used to help with refueling in air. Idk if it can be used Also for improve flying performance.
That’s basically what I was talking about, it appears so low and so slowly that all the advantages of interception are lost.
PDZ was made on the chassis of serial MiG-25PD, and the only change was the refueling probe (haven’t heard anything about limited TVC). This technically implies that SPO-15 was installed on serial production MiG-25PDs, at least on some of them.
Some sources as for example Ruslet mention limited thrust vectoring.

Perharps source is confused?
I have seen other “sources” that say that PDZ was used as a test bed for “AL-41” engines which have thrust vectoring and “PDZ” was a experimental vehicle for aerial refueling, results of which where later applied to other Mig25/31.
Is there any actual information on MiG-25PD having even SPO-10? it lacks indication in cockpit, and I wasn’t able to find a single IRL photo of it as well. I know several sources claim it has it, but I don’t think there is actual proof for it.
no it’s made-up
I think there are photos of MiG-25PD with antennas belonging to SPO-10. I didn’t see an indicator in the cockpit but they could have been removed.
Every PVO aircraft before it used RWRs. It would have been ridiculous not to install an RWR into a MiG-25, especially given the emphasis of automation on its development. It’s weird that you can’t find the typical SPO-10 instrument in the cockpit of the pictures available on the internet though.
The ones on the internet are from museum pieces or decomissioned aircrafts probably. Wouldn’t be too surprising if some parts of the avionics were removed.
Its highly possible. As we can see on this picture of MiG-25PU for example some avionics was removed:

Well, MiG-25P didn’t had one as far as I can tell, and while photo of SPO-10 indicator in cockpit of something like MiG-23ML is fairly easy to find
What is interesting for me is where did they cram SPO-15 display on some of the PDs. There are photos of RB cockpit with SPO-15 but that thing doesn’t have a radar display that takes a giant amount of space.
For starters it is MiG-25PU (training version of 25P) and instruments removed are clock and control panel for automatic control system
Yes I fixed it in second after I posted it. I wrote wrong second letter.
you can clearly see SPO-15 antennas on the intakes on this Lybian 25PD
as well as on MiG-25PDZ that was made from serial production PD
they also feature CM pods on different wings (unless one of the photos was mirrored)
Thats good question.
