whatever u should compare the MiG-25PD with the MiG-23M since it has the exact same radar and RWR, not the 23MLD which is 10 times better at everything.

well you cant, they will be on the same team. i am using germany ( the only one i have ) that can be against the mig25
use Statshark then. compare planes, radars and missiles to see which one of all the 11.0 planes are good to counter the MiG-25PD.
i was able to kill a lot of Foxbats with the NF-5A (10.7) with the AIM-9N since all of them are dumb + have massive engines with a lot of heat and flares are basically useless if they don’t turn off their engines (yeah, turning OFF THE ENGINE, that hot are the Foxbat’s engines).
just launch IR missiles around 2km and it’s mostly a secured kill, no matter if u’re flying below them at 600km/h.

thank you, you reminded me of the r24t.
tbh i have had a very bad time using R-24Ts, most of my enemies notice me no matter how high im of them (or im just dumb and i launch them when there’s allies around them and they need to flare their IR missiles while mine is still on the way).
I had an R-60M hit a Mig-25 that was spamming flares which was funny to see. The Mig-23ML is probably the best hard counter to it too, since it’s faster below 10 km, and has equivalent/better missile kit.
Same, I’ve switched to only using R-24Rs now.
some good counters could be the swiss Mirage (?), the F-4EJ with that cool AIM-7Es and the italian F-104S from 11.3.
im just mentioned planes that can COUNTER IT, not PULVERIZE IT like it’s just another plane in the sky to feed ur hungry AIM-7E-2/F/R-24R/etc.
bro, everything below 2500m is better than the Foxbat.
getting a hard lock on an enemy at “low altitude” (if 2500m can be even considered low altitude LOL) is harder than deciding if buying the italian prem turkish F-104S is a good idea.

also fun fact: MiG-23MLA is basically a ML without prem characteristics, so it has the same ugly and useless RWR of the MiG-23M/MiG-25PD that can’t detect a SH*T.

whatever i feel the FB will become my new favourite plane, it’s so funny to play that imo it’s the most enjoyable plane u can get in War Thunder.
im starting to get attached to the plane so much i wanna start call it “Fibie” (cute synomym of “FoxBat”).
I think the only difference is that it can carry a mixed loadout of R-24Ts and Rs.
Atleast it can actually detect Mig-23s and 25s, unlike Spo-15.
still very primitive, and SPO-15 is a lot more modern.
i would prefer an RWR that actually tells me that an enemy is shooting at me than a RWR that says “hey, there’s something looking for ur ass in 1 of this random 4 directions, idk what it is or what it is doing, but there it is in case u wanna check it out”.

yeah but why 2 of them!? R-24R is a lot harder to dodge at close range (and can pull enough Gs to catch an enemy in a head-on at 2km) and whatever that kind of planes can’t even know u’re looking for them.
nah r24r are for long shots, if i ever get close. its r60m or gun.
