how does the R-33 compare to R40RD
r-33 has 4g target overload… so it’s pretty terrible… (rvv-bd brochure, rvv-bd is 8g, 8/2 is 4)
Spoiler

Just wanted to say thanks to those who found the 15G figure for the R-40 missiles. That Iraqi MiG-25 manual was not available at the time I first made this thread on the old forum.
I’m still around from time to time, checking all of my threads.
Sometimes that is a meaningless stat if we’re trying to figure out said missile’s maneuverability or ability to hit the target. Like the Phoenix, it’s most likely advised to any pilot operating with R-33 missiles to fire only when their target is pulling 4G because R-33s need to correct their path flight upon launch and fly high/loft. Firing them in dogfight scenarios wouldn’t be ideal. But their actual maneuverability in the air when tracking their targets is good.
Guys, can we all agree that the MiG-25/31 will be fast, shoot big missiles, and be lots of fun? I want these added more than any other plane now that we have the 106.
mig-31 is the only one that has a semblance of a chance of being fun. mig-25 is just gonna be hot garbo, literally just a worse mig-23mld

its time release the flagon
Updated engines too, post says, anything more specific on those?
