Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-25 & MiG-31 Foxbat / Foxhound - History, Design, Performance & Dissection

aye man welcome i guess
but you gotta know it game war thunder doesn’t care about structural limitations so in fact the mig25 is it added would be able to do its maximum amount of performance speed turn extra so speed would be like Mach 3.1 faster than f15E btw and it says that it can pull 6g in real life so add the war thunder limit and that’s become an 10g ? and the r40s are like up scaled r24 so has same 24g limit but speed is 4,4 Mach and its humongous missile like 460kg or sum so expect big ass explosive warhead so even Tho it has 24g doesn’t need to pull that much because i bet it has big proximity fuse too so yeah in war thunder it going to be good unless it get past like 12.7 ? and there is r40td better range and extra its the missile that Iraqy mig25 shot down f18 with from 18 miles way that’s long range if you think about it

its 5 gs not 6, also that’s structural limit not necessarily what it can pull at relevant speeds. It’s a lot worse than other fighters lol

also the r40s are much worse than the r-24, here is target g load for the r40, 4 gs only.

while the r-24r is 7g target overload

they are still fine, should perform around the same as the r23

hmmm interesting information thx you i saw a Russian documentary claiming that r40 has maximum g turn off 24g compared to the r24 that’s what i base my information on and as in mig25 there was polite who pulled if im correct 7g without structural damage so yeah maybe its more then just that

does the mig-31 have CMs ? if so where are they located ?

yeah and the r-23R is horrendous in game. r-23t is good though

mainly due to the longer guidance delay 1.7 seconds is horrendous, and autopilot, the r40 has a shorter minimun range, and since it has the seeker of the 24r, it has the short delay and also has ins which along side the massive warhead should be quite decent

yeah r23 act like aim7e so doesn’t pull form the get go unlike the r23t

elmo-embarrassed but fr tho where is my beloved mig25 man its a bummer the didn’t add it yet

wait i forgot that they also have a dogshit variable gain, thing, they cannot turn untill 2.5s and they they just turn at 8g another 2.5s

so a pencil wings is more effective then this missile got it

at least R-40R doesn’t give RWR launch warning to any RWR because of the way it works (i think R-40RD doesn’t too but im not 100% sure)

btw i found R-40R/T missile max overload number in mig25P manual (15G)

shi is basically an r530

well thats better than the 2.5 G of the target overload, seems that the original r40s are not that bad afterall

R is pulse and RD homes on CW. However it would depend at the RWRs frequency range bc the frequency is higher than usual at 16GHz.
On the R, don’t think it would so but F3 Tacman mentions 2 frequencies for the MiG25P, 12.8-13.1 GHz and 9.1-9.7 GHz. Maybe 1 is for missile&tracking and another for search.

Read, (for example) and what happens to engines when over

Its not.

Only thing I see is you claiming those individuals have made claims. I have yet to see these claims.

RD uses inverse monopulse as it is based on the R24 seeker

what do you think continuous wave is btw?

Well, inverse monopulse is a distintively different guidance method, they are not the same, a aim 9m has an inverse monopulse seeker, the aim 9F uses a CW seeker, you can search by yourself the technical differeces if you want.
Edit, i misunderstood. him, i thought he was lalking about the seeker not the signal.
