can you explain this ? 8 r60m ?

Same for the late Mig25PD

Thechnically, there were triple pylons for R-60s. But they weren’t as reliable as double pylons so they weren’t used widespread. But iirc there is nothing that prohibits usage of double/triple pylons on any station, apart from weight or space restrictions

maybe they use 2 bcz of the limited space, but still 8 r60m is a lot more good than 4 as we excpected or better than 12 missile

Well, id still take R-40 because of the sheer velocity of that thing. And the fact that you don’t have HMD to help with close range missile shots on this boat of a plane

oh yeah for sure, 2 sarh missile and 2 r60m and 1 ir r40 is the perfect loadout

Isn’t this the MiG-31i

Mig-31i? Never heard of thag

Unified platform for launching near orbit satellites, ballistic missiles as well as Kinzhal platform. You can say that it’s modernised 31K with expanded functionality

I made this.

crazy to think that such old idea created in the wrong time can be so useful in the current era 50 years later,

yes i am talking about the drone warfare in the current world, i cant stand the military using aim9x and aim120 for a simple drone
