Again
check the gamemode you selected while making those screenshots
the following ones are all not spaded
my bad dude, besides all of them are still wrong R29-300 and R35-300 at least
R35-300 has 10320KGF with afterburner but should have 12700KGF
dont remember for the R29-300
12700kgf is probably bench thrust and not installed thrust
All engines lose thrust when installed in an airframe
Ofc, MiG-23M is just trash lol, I wouldn’t consider it, MiG-23ML itself already can’t have a sustained dogfight with Phantom anymore.
That is just plainly not true at all, the MiG-23ML can beat any Phantom in a dogfight easily, the MLD does that but just faster, with higher ITR.
MLD also has higher Str which helps as well
I’d mog on any Phantom
Well, the game has the Yak-141, which never had radar or weapons fitted either, so I think making a similar exception for the 23-98 wouldn’t be a problem.
The problem is that MiG-23 is an actually serial production aircraft, while Yak-141 is a prototype. Yak-141 can go “Hypothetical” way because its existence in the firsthand already as a prototype.
As far as I know, War Thunder never had a variant of serial production aircraft that went to “Hypothetical” version (inb4, IMHO Mirage 2000-5 can carrying Ground Ordnance is an exception, because it’s more of amalgamation between something that already exist in that serial production).
Are you fr, there are a ton of vehicles in game that have had liberties taken
Well that’s why I said it was in my humble opinion, I could be wrong obviously. Can you take an example which aircraft that prove otherwise?
What is this pile of photos supposed to mean?
But not the F18, It actually gains It!
Why are we discussing Yak-141 in MiG-23 thread all of a sudden
Static uninstalled thrust is not usually given for that motor, which has many configurations. The motor as installed on the F-18 makes more than the usually stated thrust class by a few pounds, this is not unusual.
All turbofans in the game and real life make more thrust installed than uninstalled if the aircraft is moving, the static thrust only decreases if there are more intake losses from installation than in static testing conditions with filter, etc.
MiG-23ML for example, relevant to the thread as well.
Not just ML, basically all MiG-23 (not counting BN and MLD) have flares when they shouldn’t have. And less R-60 than they should have, and many more things
MLA was a typo, I had meant MLD, and how do you know from that picture that its ML? Could just be export MLD. To my knowledge only MLDs, export MLD, and syrian MiGs that got retrofitted with them had flares.
Google image reverse search gives two results, one article calling it ML and one other calling it MLD.
i was taking authors word for it, but i found another photo of this airframe and it seems that it is indeed an MLD. Gaijin probably gave MLA and ML an F-5 treatment when it comes to flares.
I think its fair in this case because it was actually modified in Syrian service to carry them (so its not pure fantasy)
