It’s a 4++ generation fighter jet, with good flight performance, a good loadout, decent radar; it should be facing off against ll F-18C late and F-16CM Block 52 .

no it’s not. in fact, 12+ air is after NATO jets, especially sim. 13+ is russian meta with some exceptions. 14+ is currently a circus on a circus, but NATOids are competitive enough, until it’s some weird f-16, but it’s mostly due to iron doming. in general air wasn’t russian before new year flanker buff by any means, and still has controversies. only BRs on Ground which i maybe could call Russian are 9.3, 10.7 to 11.3, again with some nuances. top tier is not Russian again, because other nations get reta…stong MBTs and BMPT gets nerfed soon, in CAS department we have more and more F-15s or Typhoons with bunch of guided bombs and Abrams gets crucial fix for it’s turret ring while dogwater armor on russian turres or their reloads are unfixable and there are no even fake documents for that. mig-29 has mig-29 flight model so it doesn’t have any place above 13.3 i’d say, but armament kinda compensates. real solution for air battles is decompression and it was for like year already, but company of cool girls would not do that because “muh diversity and feel of supermacy”
is it? basically every top tier is 12.7 regardless of differences between the vehicles, and I feel there are more drastic differences than a tank with an APS that wont make a significant difference
Why not just give the MiG-29K the Zhuk-AE, R-77-1 and move it to 14.3? It’ll be nice for downtiers to play with, but the same cannot be said when against it
We already have Su-30SM2 flying around with an incorrect radar, might as well continue on with the “it’s planned but no real proof it’s implemented yet” theme we’ve got going on
