Mig25 at 10.7 ARB?

Most players stay on the deck, its not like you can force them to climb to you

With more changes, the following are updated numbers without 2 R-40s @slavmememachine @kizvy @Ion_492

Mig-25:
1000kph: 56 seconds.
8000 meters: 122.
Mach 1.5: 183.
Of course, this is without R-40s attached because the fuel tank exists on the other loadout now.

i am with the F4E being better with mig 25 just due to the adapatability is way better than phantom MIG-25 will be a really bad 104 with a decent radar and radar missile but no good maneuvering and its also not finished 10.7 to 11.0 is where it should be max any higher it be similar in br to MIG-23ML and MLD all very strong way better

not to mention its not finished yall gonna make the mig 25 the NEXT F106 over hype it much its gonna be strong but not OP also consider other 10.7s there are better most players at these brs are in J7Ds and F5AG which is just a undertiered 11.0 F5E

also no gun

MIG-25 is good and probably should be 11.0 maybe with rework it can go down

11.0 seems fine br but definetly should not face the MIG 23

MiG-25 should be 11.0/11.3BR (bare minimum)

9.7BR would get an impossible task of catching that up,… it will be a slaughterhouse if it keeps being 10.7BR.

the fact it have no gun isn’t a reason, as experimented earlier with Sea Vixen (even if premium, the KD rate of the aircraft is pretty high,… and we’re talking of way inferior missiles).

Having been able to play with this aircraft in a matchmaker, it’s fine, it’s so called powerful radar hates the existence of chaff. It’s only fast, that’s it.

Hear me out… you don’t need to frag a Mig-25 to win a match.
You just need to not die to a brick that can’t dogfight anyone on the team.

Sea Vixen actually has good flight performance for its BR, the Mig-25 doesn’t.

The only way Mig-25 can move up is if everything above it moves up with it.
Cause what’s the weakest thing it’s going to face? T-2… T-2 already suffers from 10.3s that are superior against the T-2 than the Mig-25 will be.

The only thing Mig-25 has going for it is the top speed above 10,000 meters.
It doesn’t have the acceleration, it doesn’t have the agility, it doesn’t have a great radar missile.
It has R-60Ms, but so does the Su-25K at 10.3, and the Su-25K can actually out-dogfight most things it sees.

And yes, the 10 range of BRs is the dogfight range still.

then here me out:
Compare the Mig-25 gameplay to F-104S (11.3) - they’re basically similar.

The biggest difference is how untouchable the MiG-25 will be, and how fast it will be able to go in/out of battle to reload missiles and come right back at people trying to strafe ground units.

The F-104S is faster, is more agile, has a gun, and can do bombing.
Mig-25 would lose in every encounter.

Mig-25 can be “untouchable” by a minor amount of aircraft, because it can’t touch them back.
A Mig-25 is incapable of destroying a Harrier GR3 or AV-8 paying the same attention.

Mirage 3s are 10.0 - 10.7 with radar missiles.
F-8E exists.
Radar missiles are not new to players at this range. Mig-21S makes sure of that.
And the R-40s are not great missiles. If you think AIM-7Es are eh, the R-40s are worse.
And R-60Ms are neat, but being on an airframe that is the worst turning “fighter” in the game, as well as being defeated by using an F-100D correctly [which Mig-25 cannot face anyway].

There are extremely few flareless targets at 9.7 - 10.7, and those flareless targets biggest concern is going to be Su-25s over a Mig-25.

well,… let’s agree that we disagree,…

Latest MiG-25 changes in devserver seems to make much more reliable:
Buffs:
Max speed got from 1215 to 1320km/h at SL
Radar got MTI modes (so kinda “PD” radar)
Large Fuel tank (buff in flight time)

Nerfs:
Power engine output from 103kN to 93,5kN in afterburner but still out-accelerate F-4E for good 80% of the time from 300km/h to 1320km/h

so it still thinks that MiG-25 are “untouchable” for any

Now in all that list : which aircrafts are able to catch a MiG-25 at 12km+?

Mirage III and F-4’s might be the biggest threat for MiG-25’s, because SARH missiles worth 25km range could eventually catch the unaware MiG-25 from below,… but that’s pretty it,…

no MiG-21 R-3R or F8U AIM-9C would do that

more than half the population of 9.7/10.0 are defenseless :
25 aircrafts
14 are flare/chaffs less, 7 of them don’t even have RWR
1 have flare/chaffs but no RWR
and only 3 have missiles that could caught them when flying high.

The top speed is still slower than most of the things at its BR, 0.3 below its BR, and 0.3 above its BR.
MTI mode only works at low altitudes.
Fuel tank doesn’t really matter.

Also my F-4E acceleration test is in this topic, and it beat the Mig-25 pre-nerfs let alone post-nerfs.

I flew without RWR against AIM-54s, which are themselves superior to R-40s.
These skills are learnable, especially against the potentially worst 10.7 radar missile.

All of your points are reliant on the enemy players of Mig-25 to be worse than the Mig-25 player.

All of my points are assuming same skill, because I’m not going to make a skill argument on a topic about the Mig-25 and its BR.
