Obviously, the radar is in good condition, the lock-on is good, and the position is optimal but Why did my missiles Friendly attack instead of attacking the enemy? What could be the problem?
No matter how hard I try to understand it, I don’t understand it.

the missile goes for the target within the guidance cone with the highest closure rate
This is an R-24R missile that operates solely through radar tracking not heat seeking missile
And enemy aircraft are the closest targets.

alpharius is right tho. in more layman terms, imagine radar being a giant flashlight, and the missile goes for the target that shines the brightest when iluminated by the radar. your friendly at that moment when you rolled to left at 0:05 was brighter than the enemy.

It seems like you guys didn’t watch the video properly. In the first place, I never focused the radar on my team with the radar tracking in ACM mode. On the radar mapping, it’s only tracking the enemy, not my team It’s the same at 0:05.
The guiding beam is still a cone even with target selected, it is entirely possible that your team mate got also iluminated due to his position in relation to the target.
Try watching the replay in sensor mode, that should tell us more.
The missile goes for the fastest thing your radar can see, even if that in particular is not locked. The teammate was the fastest thing it could see.
