Huh, interesting.
Ive tested 29G against friends F-16A and C, gun only, no shooting before merge.
F-16A absolutely ran me down, and other way around when he took F-16C.
Figured that with R-73s, 29G would have advantage, guess i was wrong.
no. it wont. Gaijin absolutely raped MiG-29 FM some times ago for some kind of balancing reason. and never reverted the nerf to it so it stays in an eternal dogshit state.
even guns only he has the advantage for ratefights (Sep 0 line) if you look at the EM-chart

Ah, im gonna admit that these graphs might as well be in chinese for me, im not that competent.
What I say is usually based on experience, we run a lot of mock dogfights with friends whenever one of us unlocks new airframe. Not the most objective way to look at things but at least i know what i can and cant do in my planes.
And trying to dogfight F-16As is definetively on the “cant do” side if things.
Mig-29 can win in a very specific way against the f-16 and that is to ratefight at 750kph
the problem is the f-16 needs to just stay in that ratefight without doing anything else, which is highly unlikely
I think it’s not entirely unlikely as there’s not really much else for a Rank VIII German premium.
This is especially the case if the MiG-29s get their proper loadout of R-27s (not Es) and R-73s (13.0 without top BR increase, but with most 13.0s to 13.3 where they belong, 13.3 if decompression with top BR moved to 15.0 and most 13.0s to 13.7). Germany would have two identical vehicles, and one or the other should be moved to be a premium.

Any semi-competent F-16 pilot will rinse any Mig-29 9/10 times, the one time being if the Mig-29 gets lucky in the first turn.

I was always on his 6 after the first turn
And then in the last one he got salty and shot r27er at me before the merge even tho we agreed to not shoot before the merge
