For decompression what if take the F16ADF and MIG29A(9.12/13) Got 9M and R73 and raised in BR you could also take of the ER of the 29 you could make them 13.0 with F15A and SU27
I’ve seen this suggested a few times. Personally I would like to see 14.3 or 14.7 be raised for 4.5 gen air craft before moving up any non fox 3 4th gens.
For deeper Explanation mig 29 earlys would keep R27R but loose R27ER and get R73 and go to 13.0
F16 ADF would 9M and go to 13.0 as same load out as F15A on a more nimble airframe

29G sits at 13.0 with 27ERs and 73s, and its completly outclassed by Su-27.
9.12 with 27Rs would definetively struggle.

the mig-29 shouldnt be at the same br as the su-27

IRCCM missiles make these aircraft 13.0 in all situations.
There already are F-16s with only 9Ms you can play.
There is already a Mig-29 with only R-73s you can play.
If anything the 9.12. and 9.13 should lose their 27ERs and be made 12.3.

There still gonna R27R1 and aim7M/F the only plane loosing anything is mig 29 because it could not carry R27ER without MIG-29S upgrade
so for clarification would be R27R1 and AIM7M with R73 and AIM-9M

R-27ER is primarily a motor [and receiver maybe] replacement electronically speaking.
It and R-27R are seen as the same missile in the system.

it isnt, the r-27er wasnt even in service for atleast 5 to 10 more years after the mig-29 entered service
the r-27er was never exported to germany or hungary
same for the r-27t and r-27et

Moving them to 13.0 with IRCCM missiles, they will be subpar anyway since F-15As and Su-27 are better in essentially everything. We already got the mig-29G at 13.0, but there isn’t any real reason to use it if you have a flanker
