so, currently the MiG-25PD is the fastest aircraft ingame (reaching Mach 3), but by no reason, the air spawn doesn’t give it Mach 1 start speed like all other jets at the same BR.
it needs to be fixed since MiG-25PD takes a lot of time to accelerate due to the massive weight of the aircraft, and not starting the match with a good speed is a huge disadvantage in this case.
hope this gets fixed and makes the plane easier to be played.
11.0 aircraft spawn at a velocity relative to their rip speed at the altitude
Second, MiG-25 being a bit slower than other aircraft is good for you, if you’re playing it correctly, since after the major duel above the clouds, the remaining 25s have full range of the furball below them, the only detriment is notching, but thats whatever
Im going based off of the Jaguar and F-4EJ airspawn, the MiG-25 cant spawn at mach because mach at spawn altitude is really close to it’s rip speed, and there would be a lot more immediate deaths at the beginning of the match
If it spawned higher, close to like 10k, it could safely spawn at mach, but it cant at the current spawn altitude
Like i said, airspawn speed is relative to the rip speed at their altitude (which also, is in IAS not TAS, which is why the MiG-25 can hit mach 3)
Also, while a case of different experirnces, i find its acceleration and climbing to be pretty high
*also, its not just 11.0 aircraft, i forgot to remove that after i fixed it
IRL the Foxbat has a relatively low wing rip speed at low altitude. So, if the spawn speed is based on wing rip speed at the spawn altitude, it would make perfect sense that its spawn speed is “so low”.
Even though it is a Mach 3 interceptor, it can only attain those speeds at high altitude. I don’t know it’s exact rip speed at sea level, but I would not be surprised if there were multiple other planes currently in the game that can go faster than the Foxbat at sea level.
Oh that’s quite low then lol. Yeah, lots of planes currently in WT that can beat that at sea level then.
Well, I can’t check or test anything right nor, not at computer. I just know from a documentary that the Foxbat was/is very limited at lower altitudes.
I don’t know any exact % of max speed comparisons right now. IF it turns out to be a lower % than comparable other planes, make a bug report/ suggestion and I will add likes to help bring attention to it 👍
Uhhhhh, this is outside of my expertise. Maybe Statshark has those charts? I’ve seen people post those fancy line charts, does anyone here know where they come from?
We just need a chart to plot max mach numbers on vertical axis, and altitude on horizontal. I think that would look best anyway. Add in the planes -1 and +1 BR around the Foxbat.
The Spawn speed might have to be collected manually.
Ah that’s nice. I think there still might be one/site where you can add multiple planes at once. I have not messed with these charts myself, just looked at what others have posted.
I also don’t know if the game is using IAS or max mach to calculate spawn speed @ altitude. I’m ignorant on most of the specifics here lol.
