I can see that you only play russia/easy mode. All your other nations have a pathetic k/d ratio, on top of the fact that you probably farm ai anyway. You don’t impress anyone buddy. You name is unironically “GitGood” so you must think that War Thunder is any sort of measure for achievement, then you wonder why your parents don’t smile when you’re around.
Literally played trough entirety of US tech tree this year. It was significantly easier and hand holdy than USSR.

Don’t project, little bro, you are only embarassing yourself
the horror is you thinking that the r60m are useful.
and yes mig25 carry 4 radar missile same as f4 but the f4 can still add 4 more aim9 who are miles better than r60m.
not to forget the guns, and the agility, and the flars count. hopefull you can read

well, he can’t certainly type in the chat
someone has been naughty i see.
Don’t forget that F-4s don’t turn every incoming IR missile into an IRCCM one like MiG-25 either lol. When I last played MiG-25 I have to pre-flare R-60Ms.
MiG-25PD makes Tomcat engines look like air dryers
happens 1 out of 5 times. and usually its those with sun size heat signature like the ( exemple ) the harrier and F4. add that the player spam flares instead of 1 pop every 1 sec.
in its environment you’ll never get close enough to fire it, the fact of the matter is that the mig25 is op, just in a niche not really winning way. If you are mach 2.5-3 at 40-60k feet the f4 is at an incredible disadvantage, but anything below those parameters it’s simply the better more versatile choice. the problem is that eventually you have to get the mig25 and you simply can’t with 70s era sparrows, aim7f are a hard counter though.
i killed mig-25s with 9Js from an F-5 before. Simply intercept the flight path rather than tail chase and you can get a missile off. At altitudes where the mig-25 flies the air is so thin your 9J can hit them like 4-5km away sometimes.
And if you have a long range IR like 9D/G/H or pl-5bs? Almost free kill as long as you cut off his flight path.
Just take into account that they can’t turn to dodge your missile. 7E2s can work at further ranges headon or diagonal headon against MiG-25s compared to other jets for this reason. (source: am professional kurnass 7e2 slinger)
Lmao, how?
let’s do a custom battle and try it out, I’ll use the mig25 and you try and intercept me, I really don’t see how you killed him in an f5 unless he let you or you were camping airfield (not dissing viable strategy used irl)
Usually I wait for his contrail to come at my direction then try to close that distance. Camping the airfield while he takes off is also a good option yes. At contrail height your 9Js get a lot more milage than it does at ground level which is the main reason why i suggest this.
true but if he’s going mach 2.5+ he can literally just go up and run the missile out of energy, you can literally reach 120k altitude (not every map), by the vast majority of my deaths are wing rips in it not other players killing me
Which is why you don’t launch at perfect rear aspect. Go for a more side aspect shot. Mig-25s engines are so hot that I have to preflare R-60s, and given that the launchers are mounted top side, a belly 9J is often my go to for killing mig-25s in slower jets
This naturally works better with 9D/G/H and PL-5B carriers of course.
true, it’s impossible in my experience to actually flare something if it’s in range, flares do work in front aspects though
But yeah. People really underestimate belly shots on mig-25 when it’s actually one the best way to kill them. Since its bottom up, MiG-25 speed doesn’t matter as much since the perpendicular distance changes less and its harder to flare since you have to actively point the cm dispensers to flare anything that isn’t front aspect.
This is not to say that MiG-25 is equal to F-5 or anything like that. This is simply to deconstruct the MiG-25 “invincibility” myth. It can be rather simple to counter them once you have the know-how.
For example, scary R-40RDs. Easiest way to counter them? simply be at around 3km altitude instead of anywhere near contrail. If you’re at their alt anyways? You can pre-chaff to distract their radar and buy time for your own radar missile to connect.
