I’ve been playing the nuke event and its been very frustrating. To try and rectify the “skill issue” I apparently have using R-24 missiles I’m trying to post this question:

For ACM mode, why do I get a super tall box? Most other radars such as the F-4E have a square box right in front of the nose. I thought maybe a keybind was not set but yes, my keybinds are correct according to the videos. For whatever reason I am unable to change the scale of the box.

This issue occurs on the stock Mig-23MLD as well. Of course I can’t lock for crap with this scale. Any ideas? I want to get 25 radar missile kills in one match because its “so easy” and I’m just “doing it wrong”.

the Mig23 cant use the smaller acm box. It only has the long acm.

Thank you. So I guess I can only lock enemies that are high above my nose, nothing in line or below me?

you can tilt the plane upside-down to lock anything below you

Correct, and its hard to lock targets at low alt. Better to use R60 for those

the MLD has an mti radar mode so its actually easier to lock low alt targets.

If you cant turn your plane intime, its better to use the normal search mode
