This thing’s radar just doesn’t work. But when it does, its missiles don’t work. It has no defences and decent flight performance.
If you die to this, how??
Put its radar on a br 3.3 plane and nothing will change I guarantee you.
- It is 9.7 already.
- It would be insanely overpowered at 9.3 as it is already a very strong 9.7.
- The radar works fine, you don’t know how to use it or expect it to perform like a 14.7 radar.
- The missiles work great at that BR.
- It has the flight performance 1:1 of the 10.3 MiG-21s which do NOT have bad FMs for their BRs. Translation: It has the best or one of the best FMs in the game at 9.7.
- You have a big skill issue.

See what I mean? Trying to use early SARH at low altitude in rear aspect. Two things that early SARH does not like to do.

I understand how it works. That’s why I do well with any russian radar near that BR. You however seem to be having issues
Nobody has ever claimed that the radar is good. Nearly everybody that talks about this plane says the radar sucks the most and say go for gun instead. You’re just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing.
It doesn’t belong at 9.3, even the F-13 is annoying there. Just fix your skill issue or play something else.
And by the way, just because something is bad at a BR doesn’t mean it can go down

You’re right, I even didn’t in this thread. However I did say it works fine, which it does at this BR. Your competition for radar at 9.7 in a downtier is basically nothing. Nothing has a radar as good as you in downtiers. In uptiers, the only jets that really have a radar that matters are the Mirage 3 and F-4C, and neither of them exactly have a great radar either.
Ever single high skill player I have ever talked to says they get kills by either dominating with its absurdly strong insane FM for the BR, or by getting easy R-3R kills using the RADAR to intercept people.
You arrived to this conclusion because you think there is no possibility that you are wrong or that others could possibly disagree with you, not because I’ve gave you any real indication that would make you think this.

The plane is a noobstomper, yes, if you fly directly at it whilst it has you on radar. You’re asking to get hit by R-3Rs.
In no other situation can the radar be good and that has been told since the dawn of time.
In the meantime, enemies have Aim 9s and you won’t even know if they’re tracking you. If you knew, you can’t do anything unless you sack 1 hardpoint for rockets to use as makeshift flares (10% success rate)
It’s a plane that relies on speed and gun in a missile dominated br and that’s just fact. Plane sucks by definition, nature, and proof.

bro its like 10.0 its its barely a missile dominated BR, like sure theres a few A10s with aim9Ls but you can just not go near them cause like you said its fast
It’s an “anybody” killer. You can’t discount a strong FM.
You have the same AIM-9s, since the R-3S is literally just an AIM-9B, which is basically the only missile you’re going to see at this BR besides like a 9G on an AV-8 or a 9J on a T-2K, both of which are explicitly rear aspect.
please. 9.7 is not a missile dominated BR. It also gets a LOT of kills with its own R-3R so again, I tell you, this is your giant skill issue glaring.

He doesn’t care, that’s what he wants, to stomp without the enemy being able to do anything against him, yet he would still do bad and complain because he would get into slow speed dogfights and die to a F-86 and say this thing should be 8.3 instead since it “turns so badly”

What do you mean barely missile dominated? Everybody and their mom has Aim 9 or R-60M (or similar)
Just go look at all the common planes surrounding the R13-300 and come back.
