Facing 2 Rafale or 10 Rafale → Simply a question of spreading players around the map,… the current gameplay is insanely repetitive and forces a brawl fight 16vs16, instead of giving us multiple 4vs4 across the map.
and finally:
Rafale is slower than anyone.
and as demonstrated, by everyone, MICA’s are better only at short ranges.
Why would i go into the Rafale predilection enveloppe? no reason.
the issue is people forced into brawlfight they can’t win.
EFT / F-15E and Su-30SM are all aircraft meant for longer range fights instead of brawl fights in which Rafale or Gripen shall arise. → the issue is gameplay related, but no one wants to do it differently.
And whilst this is my usual tactic, even in SB with bigger maps and 1v1 fights are common, you basically just spend your entire time running away from the Rafale.
Aim-120C5s are too easy to defeat to meaningfully ever threaten a Rafale at any range. (Heck had one easily defeat one fired at 5km in a head on shot in RB the other day). So your only real choice is to force a merge and try to get guns onto the rafale before they can kill you with HOBS or third party them.

the F-2 has lower top speed
and while the rafale might not have the highest top speed, it has really good acceleration
acceleration is far more important than top speed, its why f-15e in the average match is better than the 15c. sure it has lower top speed but its acceleration is much better.

The F-15 trade off from what I understand is that the C is better in a dogfight, but the E is much better in BVR due to better climb rate and top speed.
I would be willing to let you prove this. You can take AMRAAM slinger and I get to take Rafale. We can do 10 rounds so it’s not a small sample size too!

even both aircrafts stock in-game : Rafale is slower by 90km/h
that is the rip speed, but that dosent mean that the F-2 will reach that

Yep, I highly doubted the Rafale wouldn’t have had the edge in this regard.

Speaking on this, I don’t know where the idea that the MICA is more notch resistant came from, but it’s entirely wrong. It has the exact same doppler gate characteristics of every other ARH.
What it does have is half the T/R angle of half sensitivities. Which makes it more resistant to chaff in theory, except that due to ARHs having doppler and distance gating, chaff is already barely an issue.
Very minor sidelobe related tweaks as well.
