SAMP/T is as big, but its missile does not carry as much energy nor explosive
kind of have the drag of a flying supertanker right now
So yes, Buk second quite easily

But SAMP/Ts missiles acutally do hit and pull at close range and the ranges that are mostly used in top tier for cas. which is sub 10, most of the times even sub7 km. until that guy has pulled up you didnt even pick him up on the buks radar. then you need to wait for the launchers to turn. then you can pick the plane as first target, launch at him and wait (thoretically, because if its a decent cas player he will have already done that and started evading) if he launched missiles. the missile you launched at the plane will then have decided to go for one of his launched missiles instead, because higher doppler return. until you have picked him again he will be in a notch or gone.
Its easy af to shoot planes popping up in 3rd person at 15 km or closer in the samp/t and then just shoot one at each of his launched missiles in the radar menu (if he even had time for that, because you can actually hide your launchers). with samp/t or iris t u can play most of the time in 3rd person and just shoot if a plane appears. With the BUK youll be somewhere in between, stuff thats been picked up with the radar for a split second is moving across the screen in weird patterns 15 seconds after that guy already disappeared. Then you will go to the radar menu wondering what that was and see 2 missiles coming closer and they are at sub 3 km already closing in but u dont know where and u dont know if your launchers can launch (stuff in the way doesnt let you) or they are pointing at a scout drone 6 km behind your spawn. Then you die. What does it help if its the best missile (debatable, because it sucks at close range) if you cant find the targets to shoot them at quick enough while not being able to put your launchers in semi safe spots behind buildings? The Buk is not even Top 5, on most maps it is even worse than the Pantsir.
BTW BUK: 0,77 K/D SAMP/T 1,4, Sky sabre 1,7 and IRIS-T 1,9, hell the CLAWS has 1,15 and the Spyder has 1,06 and all of them also have better Kill/spawn ratios. BUK is SUK. The only spaa i can find in that whole area with worse performance is the Tan-SAM but thats at 12.0 with a K/D of 0.6 BUT same Kill/Spawn like the BUK. Even the Elde has much better stats than the BUK
The Achilles heel of the BUK is the non-vertical launch TELs and the subpar radar, it’s not a scary system, the only thing carrying it is the massive warhead that can splash damage multipathing planes and the hypersonic speed.
Yep. Its most scary for long range high alt targets. But if youre flying like that then youre basically asking for it. Theres no reason to be at high alt long range especially when theres a BUK on your RWR.
I swear there’s a trick that certain BUK users know because BUKs seem like they fall in 2 camps.
Absolutely no in-between
it means when it loses lock it can drift off course unlike the others
eg. if the JAGM dips down after launch and loses lock, it will drift off course and not reacquire lock even if the target is stationary due to the very narrow seeker FOV
where if the others do the same, they will be able to reacquire lock
Russian ground has been meta for years wtf are you coping about
yeah sure.
Ha! Fix a NATO missile? Nooooo.
They had enough documents before the JAGM got added and even more after it got added.
Same issue for PARS 3 and they have been in the game for while, Hellfires and AGMs too
Also, what are the benefits?
They are 1 : 1 only the LMURs have it’s full glory.
JAGMs ofc have to be chopped as for Gaijin’s standards.
I mean, give me some features the LMUR is missing.
What features is LMUR missing?
Also, the Jagm has a higher fov, among other things, from his chart he posted
Sure, list me what it has that LMUR doesn’t
Dude I was asking you.
I asked you first, I don’t know what it’s missing.
I would not state that Russia has better MBTs than any other major nation. They’re not bad, but the Abrams and Leopard easily outclass them.
Russia’s CAS is the backbone of its win rate, but it’s also foolish to say they win because of a single helicopter. Multiple factors are at play here.
Especially considering the JAGM was declassified in 2006. The speed is supposed to be like mach 1.5
Fake KH38MT definitely help with the win rate also
And PARS has a top-attack mode too, stated in the brochure, and it has been like what? 7 years at this point since it was added?

At top tier I think their AA is the backbone of their win rate.
The Pantsir reaches out ~4k farther than the other Roland like systems, has multi target tracking too. I’ve been sniped at the back helipad by pantsirs at distances my ADATS or CLAWS wouldn’t even reach or see in my Apache.
With the BUK it keeps other teams from getting close.
That lets their CAS play closer without worrying as much about opposing air.
Raises skill cap requirement for air on opposing team. Noobs in jets get filtered quick. Meanwhile fast A2G missiles destroy targets faster. Other factions can accomplish this but they don’t always have all the pieces at once.
Gaijin doesn’t model them as proper inagers
Huh? Bombing with what exactly? If you’re dying to a GNSS bomb, I’m sorry, but it’s a skill issue at this point.
