MI-28NM received DIRCM, protection against all missiles. DEV

Airforce one also does afaik

Idk ive seen both no helmets and amd old soviet hmd helmets, idk if they have jhmcs equivalent.

What helicopters will DIRCM get added to? Is it going to be only Russian ones or might we see the Rooivalk get it aswell?

Z-10ME should have it. AH-64E irl also has it, but I think only on the American one. Rooivalk never had DIRCM. The Fenice from Italy iirc has slots where DIRCM is planned to be mounted irl

Those are the only examples I know of

Ok. I personally don’t know why we need it and why the most OP helis in-game need to be more OP but that’s just Gaijin

Since when was the Mi-28NM OP?

I’m just saying that the Mi28NM and Ka52 are now immune to all guidance besides SACLOS and ARH and both have Vihkr which is still very good

But Ka-52 didn’t get it though.

Not yet but my point is that Western nations still have the same Apaches from many years ago and haven’t gotten anything new along those lines and now the NM has something that the West can’t defeat 4/5

No, it literally cannot get it until probably the Ka-52M, because old style L-370 uses IR Dazzlers (or something of that nature)

That’s what I’m talking about. I know only the 52M has it

Different helicopter though? Probably will come around the Same time as AH-64E

No it doesn’t tho, the Ka-52M doesn’t use LDIRCM, only the Mi-28MN (and apparently Mi-8), the Ka-52M uses the L-418-5 which is kind of like a dual IR/UV lamp i guess?

Although some articles say that instead of the L370-5 they can mount the L-370-5L which is the one the Mi-28MN has and is effective against IIR currently.
But without any images i doubt it will get implemented, and the Ka-52M only uses the new L418-5 DIRCM anyway.

Sure and then listen to all the complaining about the LMUR 305 and the Khrizantema 9M123M-type (MF) when they get added as well…
Oh and…

Spoiler

KH-38 is being tested for helicopter launch, I believe only on the navy KA-52Ks so far though.

FUN. We can get KH29s already no?

In game the implementation is severely wrong.
The LDIRCM is only effective against IR missiles. IRIST, having an IIR seeker with Home-on-jam capabilities should not be decoyed from this.

Secondly, there is only 1 module of the LDIRCM hence it can only decoy 1 missile at a time.

Thirdly, the module, being mounted below the helicopter, should not work above the helicoper meaning missiles coming from the blindspots of the module should not be decoyed by it.

All these are changes that SHOULD happen.
But havent yet

They are still seriously affected by it, and it is down to sort of chance or angle whether some parts of the recognising features are still visible, they might well be lost and at which point it is down to IOG.

When fired km away the blind spot is smaller than u think.

It received LDIRCM which can now decoy everything. Even things that it should not.
We have sources from the manufacturer that show that the current implementation is wrong and things like the IRIS-T and IIR agms as well as TV AGMs should not be affected

The current in game model of the ka-52 has the LDIRCM pods not the dazzlers just a heads up

In the game, yes
Should they be? Not at all.

They are 5th generation missiles, and the manufacturer of the system warrants effectiveness only up against 3rd gen missiles

Huh. Well, if the module doesn’t have direct LOS to the incoming threat, then the threat can not be neutralised.
Simple as
