i hope so
Yep , adats is a dual-purpose short range surface-to-air and SLAMRAAM is a medium range surface-to-air. One is designed to kill aeroplanes, missiles and other things and the other helis, ground attack planes, drones and others.
I love your datamines.
is the power output of L370 DIRCM known ? (in watts, preferably)
Helicopters have always been tricky to target because of this, and the fact that the rotor blades don’t really give a consitent return (one hemisphere of the rotor gowing away, one going towards the radar). Since the 1990s though, most missiles can probably, with the use of a bit of signal processing, target helicopters successfully
Not confirmed anyways.
Issue is these things are not in WT, multi path is 100% effective and signal processing will also struggle against really low flying heli.
Unconfirmed ?
Does it means there is a value somewhere, or is it just completely unknown ?
Might be, but IDK. Definitely not set in stone for a vehicle / system in the past decade or so.
if said heli flies lower than 2m high, maybe.
For now, they mostly stand very far from long range SAM sites, and their best defense seems to be… goold old earth’s curvature. Even then, they look more and more like an endengered species more than anything else these days.
I think getting DIRCM to be implemented realistically (X missiles jammed at a time, X being the number of lasers onboard) with a reduced efficiency on IIR seeker should be easier than Gaijin having to rework all fox-3 seekers (not to mention the potential impact on air RB)
Currently DIRCM is just some sort of invisible force field against anything IR guided, which is not realistic in any shape or form
Well I mean we haven’t seen any sort of heli action for the past decade, except from being slammed. Russians are basically using heli as artillery at this point.
Thats dumb. Helicopters are literal radar disco lights.

Su-57 apparently is the first fighter to receive it if they really put it on the felon and not them lying to make it look better. Some cargo and transport planes have it as well
So I did read that right, I’ve always loved ru aircraft because they look really good and I know the felon gets a lot of hate but it’s honestly a really cool airplane but yea anyways back on topic.

The question is a bit off topic. But it’s not the first time I’ve noticed that Su-57 pilots don’t have a Helmet-mounted display. There is no HMD on the Su-57?
dimitri said HMD is overated, expensive and difficult to made(they probably have HMD, but its probably not on because its still hasnt finish lol)
Off topic, but Stugna is SACLOS. DIRCM doesn’t work against it
all this and still not datalink for the FIM92K
