For now, they mostly stand very far from long range SAM sites, and their best defense seems to be… goold old earth’s curvature. Even then, they look more and more like an endengered species more than anything else these days.
I think getting DIRCM to be implemented realistically (X missiles jammed at a time, X being the number of lasers onboard) with a reduced efficiency on IIR seeker should be easier than Gaijin having to rework all fox-3 seekers (not to mention the potential impact on air RB)
Currently DIRCM is just some sort of invisible force field against anything IR guided, which is not realistic in any shape or form
Well I mean we haven’t seen any sort of heli action for the past decade, except from being slammed. Russians are basically using heli as artillery at this point.
Su-57 apparently is the first fighter to receive it if they really put it on the felon and not them lying to make it look better. Some cargo and transport planes have it as well
So I did read that right, I’ve always loved ru aircraft because they look really good and I know the felon gets a lot of hate but it’s honestly a really cool airplane but yea anyways back on topic.
The question is a bit off topic. But it’s not the first time I’ve noticed that Su-57 pilots don’t have a Helmet-mounted display. There is no HMD on the Su-57?
Z-10ME should have it. AH-64E irl also has it, but I think only on the American one. Rooivalk never had DIRCM. The Fenice from Italy iirc has slots where DIRCM is planned to be mounted irl
