MI-28NM received DIRCM, protection against all missiles. DEV

They use circms as well on the 64 E which could be more advanced

The holy Russian engineering has finally surpassed NATO, God Bless Stalin!

I bet they wont add this to the AH64D even though its suppose to have the same feature when you take the AMSE pods. they are DIRCM pods.

Just like how they wont give tthe US AGR-20C (heat) and D (proxi) or E (IR guided Roxi)s
or AGM114Ls even though US helos are terrible and unplayable.

AH1W needs 9Ms and 1Z needs 9x.
Ah6M needs to be 9.7 cuz it doesnt have CMs, ATAMs, or even enough engine power to fly with rockets.

Hinds need to be 10.3 not 9.7 cuz they have literally everything you could ever want and are OP for their BR.

Where TF are the AGM122 sidearms?

As for the AH64E, that better get JAGMs which are bascially AGM114Ls but with the option to be Passive Radar homing SEAD missiles too.

This is quite annoying as it will make vikhris the best missile in the game again.

No it won’t… that and heli PVP isn’t a game mode anymore.
TY-90 will still be the best helicopter equipped anti-air missile.

Vehicle development takes longer than one major update to do.
Research, written plan, execution of plan, quality assurance, dev server, publication.

Patience is key here.

USA have AGM-114L which is a fnf variant of hellfire missiles but gaijin wont add it cuz it can see through smoke and would be “too op”. Anyway here’s 6 Kh38MT because it’s balanced.

(AGM-114L uses active radar homing as their guidance, not IR, thats why it can see thru smoke)

Not all smoke, as there are formulations that also block MMW radiation such as M81;

The advanced development program for the M81 grenade was conducted from 1987 to 1992. in the transition to full scale development, the Operational Requirements Document (ORD) required the grenade to provide IR and MM instead of just MM protection The Grenade, Launcher, Smoke: Millimeter/Infrared (MM/IR) Screening, M81 (Figure 17) was type classified in 1995 and is scheduled to begin production in 1998

So it’s entirely a fabrication on Gaijin’s part that said capability couldn’t be abstracted and subsequently included in the “generic” smoke formulation and so provide protection.

It’s also another question entirely as to if the Brimstone would be impacted as we don’t know the technical details of the M81’s MMW component as the Longbow and Brimstone seekers function at fairly different wavelengths 35 vs 94Ghz so determining as such isn’t possible.

which tank carry such smoke grenades?

They fit the standard 66mm NATO smoke mortar, so most Western tanks. As per the document it was trialed on a demonstrator M2 Bradley and M1 Abrams (Unspecified config, likely Marine representative).

It’s not obvious that it Reached IOC (Initial Operating Capacity), but it was at least type classified.

But that aside it wouldn’t be the first time where capabilities are abstracted for gameplay balance purposes, and it would also means that the various MMW seekers aren’t all to different from existing IR ones.

It is being said that DIRCM works against the Iris-T, but shouldn’t the Iris-T have IR and radar guidance?

It shouldnt. The seeker uses a mirror to scan the target 80 times/second reducing the seeker exposure. Also if it detects being jammed it has a Home on Jam capability. The LDIRCM shoud make it a bigger target

Btw you know something funny? Gaijin couldve added ah64e with spikes and ldircm eons ago which wouldve made usa helis usefull. But no.

They add fictional kh38mt but not the JAGM IR

yea idk whats up with gaijin not buffing US heli’s cuz they are borderline trash.

Even a flight model fix for hellfires would be enough to make them more usable

Well, the Comanche was a chance to add some neat stuff, and I’m not 100% sure that things won’t flow backwards in future since the Longbow config AH-64D shares a number of systems. Also theoretically a chance for the ALQ-144A to be added but apparently IRCM is pointless on stealth airframes.

RAH-66 Comanche missing AN/ALQ-144(V3)

“This was not implemented on a real vehicle and it contradicts the concept of stealth aircraft.
Converted into suggestion.”

I cant wait for gaijin to do a complete 180 on this statement when the Su-57 gets added

su-57 doesnt have ircm it has dircm or the laser one.

The distinction doesn’t make a difference functionally, it’s got nowhere near the power it needs to actually damage the seeker over the time of flight, it still impacts missile guidance by injecting a jamming waveform into the seeker.

The only impact would be that the effective range increases significantly vs a similarly powered incoherent system, such as the ALQ-144 or ALQ-157.

It’s also worth noting that the system claims protection against 1st (AM) 2nd(FM) and 3rd(Conical-scan) gen missiles.

Which notably doesn’t include seekers using Rosette (4th) or Imaging (5th) seekers

This is the one on the su-57? looks like a helicopter to me, su-57 one should have access to lots more power
