Merkawa Siman 3 Ra'am Segol

Dear Gaijin Team,
In War Thunder, the Merkava Siman 3 Ra’am Segol tank has physically replicated active defense system elements on its 3D model.
Despite the presence of these elements, the system has no game-specific functionality and provides no functional protection.
Visible sensors and launchers clearly suggest that the vehicle is equipped with an active defense system or soft-kill APS.
The lack of this system’s functionality creates a clear inconsistency between the visual model and the vehicle’s actual gameplay behavior.
This inconsistency misleads players as to the Merkava Siman 3 Ra’am Segol’s actual defensive capabilities.
If the active defense system has been disabled for historical or balance reasons, its elements should not be present on the vehicle model.
However, if the system is indeed part of this configuration, it should function as intended.
The current state gives the impression of an incomplete or intentionally limited implementation without a clear justification. Please add a working active defense system for the Merkava Siman 3 Ra’am Segol or remove its physical components from the vehicle model. Sincerely,

they didnt add it because the turret would automatically turn and deploy smoke, would you really want that especially when in possible CQC engagements?

This is not an argument against implementation, but a description of a technical issue.
If the full system behavior (automatic turret rotation and smoke deployment) is considered undesirable, Gaijin still has two logical options.
Either add a simplified or manually activated soft-kill system that does not interfere with turret control, or remove the APS components from the vehicle model entirely.
The current state, where the system is physically present but completely non-functional, creates an inconsistency between the visual model and gameplay mechanics and is misleading for players.

smoke

you get extra smokes and LWS. Both are very important to increasing MBT survival.

“In real life, this system automatically turns the tank’s turret in the direction of the laser and releases smoke grenades automatically. However in game, we’ll not be implementing this functionality as in many instances, it would interfere with the player’s control mid-combat.” from the devblog about it

One thing they could do is give a missile approaching icon that could trigger from say 400m and point which direction it’s coming from like the LWS icon and give it to every tank with a radar on APS. That could be cool
