Well the TLDR is that it’s blatantly obvious who the benefactor of this change is, as only 2 nations at top tier make consistent use of HE warheads and shells.
Furthermore, this comes with nothing compounding to show US, the community, what the problem was before, and why they chose to ‘fix’ it
No one makes use of 155mm HE rounds at top BR.
There are no benefactors. GNSS bombs destroyed Merkavas the change, and that’s all 10 tech trees.
And AGM high HEAT warheads always penned and will continue to.
You listed 3 random projectiles that bear no relation to my post xD
I do, i field the PZH2000, PLZ05 and VIDAR in my High / Top Tier Line Up.
They then should stop pretending anything in this game is at all realistic. Because it simply isn’t. Realism is the major selling point of this game.
It would probably be a better game if they stopped pretending at this point. Realism is the major point of argument in this game. If they aren’t even going to try… why should we care about this game anymore.
Lower tiers are ok (some oddities like overperforming APHE), but almost nothing about top tier is realistic.
It’s honestly why I’ve been playing 7.0, 8.0 and 9.3 more often.
Glad that you’re an exception. :)
@BlueTrain
Realism doesn’t mean you break laws to make things accurate.
That’s how you get banned from NATO countries as a video game platform if you touch any Western country’s classified info, and Russia/China if you touch Russian/China classified info.
Steel Beasts estimates Abrams armor too, it’s estimated high, and they’re able to do that because no one posted classified info on their owned things which gives them deniability.
Steel Beasts also doesn’t claim to be fair, or have consistent standards. So they can model Abrams differently to T-90M and no one will complain, because at the end of the day Steel Beasts is a crew training tool, not focusing on realistic physics or other features.
War Thunder claims to be fair, so everyone is treated equally low if classified data is required.
I think there is enough open source documentation to make things better. I think our bug reports prove that.
The last armor bug report I saw didn’t mention values, but there could be a new one that I haven’t seen.
