Merkava and Namer weight and armor discrepancies

Another one of these, lets get started.

First thing and probably the most important, The Merkava and Namer armor is still modeled as NERA even though its SLERA and it has been proven already in a report over a year ago.

Metal Balls behind every turret on every merkava except Mk1, are still not there.

Rear door of the Namer is not 30mm like modeled in game, but much thicker.

Armor blocks of the side armor on the Namers are not 50mm thin, but they fill up the entire empty space between the outside and the inner RHA. And again its SLERA and not NERA.
Does the screenshot in game looks like the photo? it’s too easy and it’s being ignored.

Weight.
Namer, was made from a Merkava.
IF THE MERKAVA MK4 IS 65 TONNES (which is not, and been proven by different IDF channels, its about 82 tonnes) HOW CAN A TURRETLESS CHASSIS OF THE MERKAVA, THAT WAS MADE TO BE EVEN MORE PROTECTED THAN THE MERKAVA ITSELF, BE 0.5 TONNES LIGHTER AND HAVE EVEN LESS ARMOR.

Namer Tzrichon has its APS countermeasures with a blue color. Blue is a dummy charge in the IDF. Report here…

They don’t care anymore, they just don’t…

I’ve just took a look into dev server, they literally copy-pasted the armor of the RCWS namer into the new one…

They just need better detailers that’s all.

I feel you man

How is that making any sense that other APCs in the game weight 20-30 tons less and still got better side armor? if they keep the armor as NERA because its supposed be in urban combat then how can it have 50mm side armor?

I did some calculations many months ago for the side armour, which I used for this bug report.

It was passed as a suggestion. Feel free to use this image as an estimate of the thickness.

Thats incredible actually! But seeing how much time it took to replace the Magach 7C side skirts to RHA (8 MONTHS), I doubt we’ll see a fix anytime soon :(

It would be nice if we could retract the spikes. I know it’s a niche, but it’d still be nice and prevent people from sniping them.

On the subject of Namer, is the complete absence of extra cannon belts in the hull realistic?

It’s hard to believe in all that space, there’s not room for a single extra belt. It’s very annoying getting hit in the turret, losing all your ammo and just being completely defenceless.

Yeah, the thing is that for the 7C I had 2 secondary sources to prove it, so they had to accept it.

Unfortunately, for the Namer I have no sources and my estimate was passed to the developers as a “suggestion”, therefore it has little to no weight.

Are there other active threads where this image can be posted?

I really wish Gaijin would fix the Merkava and Namer vehicles’ Armor once and for all…

The vehicles to be well and famously known to be the heaviest and most heavily armed in the world are the weakest ingame, second only to the Arietes.

The whole point of their existence, negated.

I feel your pain.

Just as the Merkavas and Namers don’t have the most interesting feature they had irl: the armor and the weight, Gaijin made the most unique feature the Su-39 have to be completely worthless: the capability of guiding Vikhrs with radar datalinks.
