They use NATO sources for Soviet equipment, and your post is [probably unintentionally] calling those NATO sources propaganda…
Gaijin cannot legally post the sources for every decision; whether due to contracts they’ve signed [the big one] or other issues, especially related to copyright.
I have no comment on Merkava armor other than mass changes have never and will never change armor thickness.
Just research things before addressing them.

The higher armour values weren’t just on the Dev Server, they also went through to the Live Server for a short while.
But from what I recall, it was merely a bug that’s been seen on vehicles in the past. The T-90M and Leopard 2A4 also had this bug with their armour values being too high, but at least those were fixed before the patches went live.
I think they publish new vehicles intentionally over powered so people will try to grind inorder to get them…

Firstly, the T-90M is among the worst 12.0’s, the T-90M is worse than a T-80BVM and the T-80BVM is already quite average right now.
Secondly, so let me get this straight: The T-90M with those Dev Server armour values was a bug. The Leopard 2A4 with Dev Server values was a bug, but the Merkava with the exact same issue was somehow not a bug.

People generally didn’t care at all because they don’t play it themselves, they rarely fight them due to their rarity and people are less interested in them as a historical subject compared to an M1 Abrams or Leopard 2.
I’ve also done some digging, and your argument is completely falling apart.
Only the LIC version carried over the overperforming armour from the dev server, all other Mk 4 Merkava’s did not. It was always an unintended bug.
I did mention the LIC being the only one with good armor in dev, but that then got fixed. It was a bug. I don’t deny that the Merkava has barely any armor, but people forget that it was meant for shaped charges like RPG’s, or in game what is counted as chemical. If I had to guess, it might lack at most 100KE armor in terms of kinetic, but aside from that there isn’t further proof.
What taints the Merkava armor is that certain people lie (or are just unaware) by making false claims compared to others who actually research, like once saying a Merkava taking a hit from a Kornet from the side and barely penetrating, when in reality that was just friendly fire (during firing excerises iirc)

Without specifying anything. You can say this to any tank for any nation. Just because the IDF (hell, maybe I’d believe it if it was the manufacturer) says it, doesnt mean it is. For example the 80 ton Merk came out of no where with no documentation stating this. These are literally just buzzwords, which the IDF loves to use

If youre talking about this image of the frontal armor hit of a Kornet, from what I can find, most sources don’t even specify the charge, meanwhile the rest (from sources who I’d honestly not say can be trusted I wont lie) say it was from a Al Yassin 105
If you mean this image, then yea, some do say its a Kornet, however the penetration makes it rather suspicious. The claim of it being a Kornet started off from…Reddit. A different post says it was from a RPG-29, which I guess is more believable considering the hit

I would highly doubt it.
The only area which I can understand being somewhat good against KE, would be the turret, as it has ARMOR SHIELD KE and is known to lower penetration effectiveness of APFSDS by a good amount, around half last time I checked
