I still have a small belive that they will fix it when they gonna add it turret basket
Like there is no way they gonna nerf it with turret basket without giving it ita armor right?
RIGHT???
Gonna add what ?
They might update the armor when they start adding the most advanced tank of other nations so it will be in line with them ?
The frontal slope of the turret armor is 73 degrees… 200 mm of RHA with the turret basket armor will stop every APFSDS…
Let alone the advanced composites and explosives it has…
Turret basket like the leo and the abrams have
Its a big nerf
Can you expand more on the subject ?, I don’t really know what we are talking about.
I believe he’s implying that the merkava mk4’s will receive realistic armor once the turret basket has been added to it (could be the case considering it would drastically make it easier to disable more than it already is)
In general its a new moduel to the abrams and leo which is where the crew is sitting as its name says turret basket
And its a big module in the middle of the tank that when it gets destroyed u cant move ur turret horizontaly like a turret ring
The problem is that this module gets destroyed 90% of the time when u get penned leaving u defenseless.
This was a big nerf to the leos and the abrams cuz it punish them alot if they arent the first shooters or if they fumble the shot
Didnt u notice it it the last months?
Now gaijin want to implement it on all tank so imagine merkava with no armor that the moment u get penned u cant move ur turret aswell
Agreed. It would disable engine+transmission, then take out turret drive, then seal your fate considering you’d probably only have two severally wounded crew left to repair all of that if they aren’t already dead from the extra spall of the turret basket. It would completely make it useless
Just as the tank designers imagined I say, one round can take out engine transmission turret basket and crew…
That’s some high efficiency
I’m just waiting for the day that @Alan_Tovarishch gives us a competent chance for a buff
And just general fixes for all the bugs that have currently been happening to Israel top tier
(Maybe even look into @Chilean_Thunder’s suggested fillers for Israel TT a lot of great stuff in there. I just find it amazing that the community has put together such organized things for Israel TT to have have rank 1-3 and more but it just isn’t looked at or really cared about. Or just suggested out of nowhere years later.)
My theory is that Gaijin tells the moderators to look for certain things among the suggestions depending on the next major update so they can review them and if they like them they can implement them into the game. For example, when the Thai subtree was added to Japan, Gaijin probably told the moderators to pass him some interesting options to improve the Japanese aerial tree and in that way all the Thai subtrees passed to the developers. Perhaps in the future when they really decide to put effort into Israel they will ask the moderators for some possible options for subtrees for Israel and at that time the Chilean subtrees will pass to the developers. We don’t know when they will work in Israel, it could be a couple more years, maybe at the end of the year, we don’t know, but we are on the right track, the Chilean subtrees are the most voted subtree in the forum with almost 1000 votes and that generates interest.
Meh i wish however its israel not japan
For this reason, it is the least played tree in the game and they will leave it for last.
I’ve made a new bug report… I know, I know… not gonna work, but maybe ?

Don’t bother :(
Perhaps it will work without the furhter supporting evidence I´m adding on a future addendum to the article.
Just modify the following: EP1605224A2 suggest a variety of ways an armor module based on the invention could be effective against projectiles with higher penetration values than the described 600x25mm fired at 1800m/s.
In other words, if Merk 4 armor comprised a single layer of the composite element described it would already reach a level of up to 700mm KE. However from photographic evidence we see that the real armor module features various modifications that the patent states further enhance the effectivity of this type of armor:
- The armor is sloped more than 60º.
- The armor doesn´t have a single composite layer but no less than 3.
- Each of the composite plates are further reinforced with a thin metallic layer, which also doubles as a flyer plate when the armor reacts to CE.
Based on the above I think its extremely safe to conclude that the turret armor can take on projectiles on the level of DM53. UFP is likewise effective on itself (ie. no penetration into engine compartment) against BM42 and perhaps DM33.
That’s above my paygrade I think… you need to publish this thesis of yours already. be the salvation
Telling you bro he’s cooking…just let him cook
As days go by you give little crumbs of insight of your work. Sounding like you wanna spill them beans
(I hope you post your addendum soon, looking forward to reading on it, loved reading the first part @Alan_Tovarishch )
All I wrote is already in the article I already posted. The rest is delayed as real life has a way of messing up plans. But I made sure the most important sources and arguments are already written down in the already published part 1.
Have you been able to get any devs or moderators thoughts or opinions on it?
