Exactly, if they didn’t want stuff limited then they shouldn’t make it limited. They have control over it, it’s just a choice to make vehicles and skins scarce.
Or the R2Y2’s, if they want to keep everything open to players then they should revoke the announcement for the removal of the R2Y2.
Appreciate the response and honesty.
While not a fan of the auction I do appreciate what Gaijin did with the 2 Fronts vehicles pack and hopefully will see more of them in the future.
You can count that as 6 likes, I can not remove the like I left initially. I hit the like button when it was first posted, but I have changed my mind since then: Meet the Auction! - #1058 by SilentTracker
While I do greatly appreciate the replies from the Devs, CM’s, and mods this morning, my mind is still made up:
I say no 👎
Surely you can understand player concerns though as to why they are pessimistic especially given the other tank game and their auctions and how they see this as a foot in the door.
Because WT has changed and evolved as time past by, there have been multiple things that gaijin has said they wouldn’t do that as time went by and the game evolved ended up happening anyways so how can we trust that no vehicles actually means no vehicles?
And almost three years ago in response to the protests regarding the games economy and changes made you yourself wrote this so what happened to that?
It is wildly unpopular, enough so that players have dragged the recent steam reviews down to mixed, there has been zero support for it anywhere.
So why the continued push for it?
The community has been united in their disregard for this so unless it was mere lip service should this not be killed?
Do no harm, no?
yea at this point there just trying to get the player bas pissed of because the next thing there going to do is add vehicles to this and make it the only way to get it with a limited number of them. and its not like they really do listen if they did of half the community has ask them to fix bases for air-rp and add more because it hard to play if u have 90% of the lobby going for base only having 3-5 bases per match with there should at least be 24 bases and have and spawn them up at 20,000 feet for prop and jets bombers at 35,000 feet that would solve that issue and then they could add more bombers and fix the br for all aircraft
It should be rather clear to Gaijin now that the players/community reject the auction system.
The idea of providing some unique content and give the crearors a share is commendable and something I support and if I like a skin I’ll pay for it, but NOT as part of an auction.
So Gaijin, find a different way, which doesn’t exploit your customers!
Exactly. Literally just throw creator content into packs like they did with the esports skins and give the creators a percentage. The clear point of the AH is to generate FOMO and giving exclusive content to a select few, not to give content to the greater playerbase.
snake boxes are there y’know?
It is my hope that Gaijin addresses the issue of bots on the GJ marketplace. Selling and buying is at best a frustrating experience, and at worse, feels as if you are being exploited. There have been many times where I have decided not to purchase/sell anything after being outbid by 0.01 GJN. You should see this as a con for Gaijin, since it unmotivates players from interacting with the marketplace
The problem is that you don’t even know who is outbidding, a player, a bot or an admin.
- Discounted Bundles
- In-Game Currency Exchange
- Event-Based Rewards
- Player-to-Player Trading
- Subscription Passes
- Cross-Platform Bundles
- Customizable Player Stores
Here are just some ideas I’ve come up with
-
Discounted Bundles: Create your own discounted bundles from the store; the more items you select, the bigger the discount.
-
In-Game Currency Exchange: Allow players to earn in-game currency through gameplay achievements, which they can then use to purchase items directly from the store or auction market.
-
Event-Based Rewards: Implement special events or challenges that reward players with unique items, skins, or currency. This would give all players, regardless of platform, an equal opportunity to earn exclusive rewards.
-
Player-to-Player Trading: Introduce a secure player-to-player trading system, where players can directly trade items or skins. This can foster a sense of community and ensure fair exchanges between players.
-
Subscription Passes: Offer subscription-based passes that grant players access to a rotating selection of items, skins, and other bonuses each month. This can provide value to both PC and console players.
-
Cross-Platform Bundles: Create exclusive cross-platform bundles that include a mix of items, skins, and in-game currency. These bundles could be offered at a discount to encourage purchases from both PC and console players.
-
Customizable Player Stores: Allow players to set up their own in-game stores where they can list items they want to sell. This gives players control over their inventory and prices while making the marketplace more dynamic and personalized

and why? just hit it again
so did some more math
of 346 votes on the poll
7 are in favor
24 don’t mind/don’t care
and 315 are against
So 97.78% against and 2.22% in favor
(disregarding the 24 votes for don’t mind / don’t care option)
I like to Count the don’t care Option in gaijins favor
And even if they somehow Manege to quadruple the in favor/don’t care Option they would Still not even reach 50%
Or another way if warthunder was steam and the Auction a steam game and all the “don’t care” would rate positive
“The auction” would still be the worst rated game on Steam
Winning by 1%

Wierd
hell no … we already have incredibly sketchy Gaijin market designed to allow transfering GJN between accounts (at the cost of some “spillage” + Gaijin taking their 15% fee for looking away), adding direct player-to-player trades would make that ten times worse
Guys, remember that 48 > 52.
