Meet the Auction!

yeah thats why you assign people to work on things that make the game better instead of the 4th cash grab

That’s why I hate this auctions idea bud

In the case of this auction, they could have done various things to improve the QOL of the Gaijin market instead of creating the auction itself, as that is after all what is done on an external website.

I don’t know how it works at Gaijin, but in general:

You do know that there are extremely different types of coding and code-languages right?
Compare to languages, someone who is really good at Spanish wont be able to help you with your homework in French no matter how good they are at Spanish.

Even within the same language, someone who specializes in writing poems in Spanish will not be able to help you write instruction manuals in Spanish in any meaningful way as they have very different structures and most likely will be in the way more than they would help.

Because the game is so healthy on all fronts that there is nothing else to fix but make a scam auction copying WoT cause Gaijin could be selling 800$+ vehicles. i doubt it

I’m talking about the concept of different teams and bringing it to the public in general. We all understand that the development and regulation of various aspects of the game are carried out by different teams and departments of the company, but imo this should not matter to the end user, that is, the player, and only creates the dangerous opportunity described above.

What if (just if) a developer from the auction team receives instructions to organize the sale of vehicles on it? This is simply an opportunity to avoid any responsibility. I’d like to see a clear statement on behalf of the company. Not in Q&A format and not from an individual developer. Or can we consider the answers in this topic(about adding vehicles etc.) as such? In fact, this is the main question for me, sorry if this remains unclear.

All the answer made by CMs and Developers in this thread are official statements.

Calling the game Healthy is kinda weird.

Yes WT is great but has alot of issues.

  1. Degrading BP.
  2. Volumetric issues
  3. Balance of vehicles. (Brs and uptiers)
  4. Broken promises (I keep using No premium top tiers)
  5. Free too play grind thats too hard and long

Feel free too fill in

Thats why i would love more assistance in the team fixing game issues.

Happy customer equals more income (what can be used for growth of the company)

Not what i said…
Continuing with the analogy of languages:
If the games issues you refer to are in the French language then how would the ones that know Spanish be able to help them?

I don’t know if you understand what I mean here. Or I might have missed how you would propose that they help?

Thank you!

Gaijin is paying these ‘teams’ of people to develop the auction. Couldn’t those development costs be devoted instead to areas of the game design/mechanics that are in need some long over due attention?

yeah, but you know fixing stat cards in game so they give accurate performance information would not result in 8-900$ vehicles sold on auctions.

I agree this was a good event, as was Australia Day, and that lots more of those is your other option if you don’t want to do an auction or more camo/decal giveaways through play.

You’ve got the caveats that it also does nothing for console players, like auctions, and has the same FOMO aspect of time-limited offerings, like auctions. But in other ways it’s a little better. You’d have to do a LOT more of them though, if you wanted to even convert one creator camo per vehicle from wt.live. As I was saying they do about 200 per year from the update boxes: clearly they think players would respond financially if they could at least double that somehow. But that requires them making back that fixed fee. That’s basically why monthly decals died… That 150+ GJN (convertible to $ if you make enough) per creator times a dozen decals per month, for no direct return to the company. (EDIT: Whoops! Spoke too soon.)

I care about the “action hose”. That sounds much more exciting than what we’re talking about here.(J/k)

That’s unrelated to the price; it’s about the quantity. A lower quantity of an item results in a higher selling price, simple supply and demand mechanics.

Right, but the overall budget for artists, independent of what they specialize in is set by Gaijin.

If Gaijin is devoting additional money to hire painters (auction), the community is suggesting bringing in more pianists (game mode design / development / improvements) might be better for the health of the game.

Why do you need to see the top bid ?
You only need to outbid the 100th highest offer to get the item.

what i said is that Gaijin is prioritizing development that results in what WoT is doing. limited amount of vehicles sold for hundreds of dollars.
While most of the stat cards in game for aircraft contain incorrect or lacking information so much that there is a 3rd party website people go to, instead of the useless stat card ingame. And that is just one issue out of the mountain of problems plaguing the game.

Better question why shouldn’t we see it ? Why does it need to be hidden ?

The wiki is also a mess now sadly…

You get no useful information out of it.
As I said, you need to worry about 100th highest bid not the 1st.

maybe for you its not useful. anyway, the word used was “convenient” So let’s not move the goal post.

Maybe if you held the promises of no premium jets, no premium top tier, no premium top br etc etc we would believe you. But time and time again you made us know that you guys dont really care about your promises.
