Meet the Auction!

citing us goverment as none primary source is crazy

Man I loved that game. Maybe what we all really need is the ability to turn our tank into a cardboard box. Now that I would pay silly money for : )

US government? The Royal Aircraft Establishment was the United Kingdoms primary aircraft development establishment for many years.
I also cited NASA.
As well as the CTTO.

They basically said we don’t care and or are too lazy to fix it as we get paid regardless.

i know i was making a reference to the time the devs said United states department of defense was not a primary source

Typical Gaijin.

Typical gaijin

perfectly accurate 1 to 1 description of how gaijin operates

Many might say that should be Gaijin’s moto.
Thing is, why change when so many are thrusting cash into your hand?
I could say, what kind of lunatic would spend £60 on a virtual vehicle? Then I see everybody has it in their line up.Who is the fool?
Maybe we are all out of date and Gaijin are correct.
If Gaijin change nothing about this auction then hundreds will still support it with their cash.

Yeah to draw to a very controversial topic in the same line of how people make choices. It can be compared to how all these OF models are running around becoming millionaires over night, simply due to people paying for stupid virtual stuff that is one, not real, and two likely leads to more of said behavior on their part.

If players stopped buying stuff and just played the game to have fun (what games where originally made for) than Gaijin would need to listen to make profit. If we only spent money on things that kept the development team afloat they would have to develop a game that the community wants it to be.

Unfortunately this is the age of immediate gratification and 10 second attention spans so the issue will only get worse and it is fundamentally our (the communities) fault for feeding the greed to begin with.

Yes that.You know if I wasn’t just as bad then I wouldn’t own a premium : )
I am elsewhere calling for tech tree vehicles to be unlocked with cash : )
I guess it all depends on how much cash you have spare and your fanaticism of the game.

We certainly do live in a virtual age where people are something else when online.
If WT collapsed tomorrow it would take all our money with it.Only F2P players would be untouched.

It looks very nice though.

Agreed, most of the auction items were pretty beautiful ngl

They claim they are rewarding the people making the skins with the auction, but the effect is the complete opposite.
Thanks to how scummy the auction is, people will not care how good the camos look like. Gaijin, if you want to test out a sh1tty function, do it on horrible looking camos instead next time.

Yeah ,very nice and worth all of about £2.50 UK of anybody’s money.

Big problem also is that we don’t know at all who actually created the skin. Rewarding the people making the skins sounds good … until we find out that those people are Gaijin employees. When we can’t even trust something as simple as auction rules, why exactly should we trust that jingle about “player created content”?

I honestly don’t care who makes the skin as long as it looks good(still not gonna buy it)
However in the end just quit the auction gaijin

Ebay is illegal in Benelux?

Parts of it are, yes, but currently they are working on stronger restrictions on online auctions. IRL auctions are extremely strictly regulated, but online ones are a gray area (a lot of things like age verification and the presence of government officials for deals aren’t a thing yet, or only loosely enforced, as these are mostly done by so called ‘particuliers’, so non-cooperate or non-government sales). For-profit auctions by normal companies like for exclusive valentine teddy bears are an even bigger no-no. And are illegal on Belgian eBay.

I like auctions as a seller cause they allow buyers an opportunity to decide what competitive price is right for them.

And I like them as a buyer as I can see what the market price is on items and see if that’s worth it for me.

Digital goods? Eh, rich man’s game there. I tend not to have skin in the game for those, not my desire both to engage or learn the nuances about them.

OMG, this is a game to drive tanks and fly planes, not a tycoon to effing speculate and play with muh supply and demand market rules

Remove auctions from the game

@Stona_WT Will War thunder announce the official removal of the auction?

“Items that are put up for auction cannot appear there again for a year.”
i am about to think gaijin meant one auction per year
meaning we have to wait until next February to know if we are safe
