Yeah the Mig 23M is just trash lol, 12 CM too makes it unbearable
The ironic part is that while US doesn’t have any 11.0 jets bar F-5E, the jets it can use for Nuke mode is good. The F8E is still a strong rounded fighter with 9Ds which have like triple? the range of R-60s. The A-10 and A-7s have tons of munitions to overwhelm the stupid aimbot SPAA that other plane can’t. These are some examples i can list off my head.
Even at the long ranges? I’m pretty sure the r23s would perform better than the 7E2 at high altitude, granted they can’t cuz of the hawks.
And regardless I was merely saying that on paper the MiG 23 is at least closer to the F4E than the mig21, given the mig21 doesn’t even get any good radar missiles and overall has less missiles to begin with
The US is the most well rounded nation for the game mode they don’t need more RN unless we see some other equipment come for other nations
I gotta ask have you used the R23? I’ve used both the F4E and the Mig 23MF and if never take the Mig over a phantom lol
Except you’re also wrong on that part? Worse radar missiles. Worse radar. Worse rwr. Worse flight performance. Almost non-existent ability to carry bombs, let alone smart munitions. How exactly is it “close” to the F-4E?

You can’t sit here and say a mig21bis is closer to the f4e than the mig23
They’re both equally far from comparing to the threat presented by an F4E.

Mig 23 has trash flight performance, terrible CM count, average missile loads if we run R13M1s over the R23 trash.
The Mig 21 has better flight performance and more countermeasures with the same missiles.
The F4E is a monster next to them, it can multi role holds 8 well rounded missiles for IR and BVR high alt engagements has a gun with good velocity and position on the body and has more ammo and good flight performance thanks to agile eagle with a better radar, don’t get me wrong I like the Mig 21bis but if the F4E ever went back to 11.0 I’m never touching the Mig again lol

Idk man, I’m of the opinion id rather have the mig23 with the R23s than the mig21 when facing an F4E
And sometimes, opinions are wrong.
I’d rather have a vehicle that might stand a chance in a fight than a bomb with wings given the Mig 23s flight performance

Would you want a heavier F4C with only 4 radar and then 2 IR missiles that can only hit commonly around 1.5km?
Okay but seriously, regardless of which one is better against an f4E, the MiG23 is closer to the capabilities of the f4E given the mig23 has CW missiles and the mig21 only has IR, im just saying its closer not that it’s close
