Uh. Personally I think they sjt perfectly at their respective BR. 9.7/10.0 is a very very bad idea. The stock grind is workable considering you start with an ATGM (if I’m not mistaken) that wobbles like crazy. And even then the dart is comparable to other darts of the BR.
If anything it gives the US (and Germany) a top-tier-like low armor MBT. Now sure the fuel tank at the front can be a dice throw as to if it’s gonna absorb the enemy fire or not but still. It’s survivability is good if you play it well. You can easily one-shot it from the front by shooting the side with the two crew members sitting in a tandem position (assuming he’s looking straight ahead both with the hull and turret).
Call me crazy all you want, but as far as I’m concerned it sits in a pretty nice(ish) spot.
KPz-70 is by far the best due to the faster reload-rate, MBT-70 is somewhat near the middle and XM-803 is the american version of this vehicle, considered the worst between the two, however is far from a bad vehicle, you can confidentially get good values and a Nuke here or there if played well, the spaced angled armor is a huge benefit against APDS-FS and HEAT as well, it’s not a bad vehicle, but it’s hard to skill due to the rather weaker projectile it can shoot, at the start people will struggle but with most of the important modifications researched, is a very good vehicle to play.
They atleast should make them a lot more ez to deal atleast puting the mbt70 in 9.7 wil stop the down tiers to lower brs and letting the xm stay at 9.0 but taking out his apfsds rounds
They are good vehicles bro the small area surrounding the breech has good protection against even the strongest round in that br, it’s speedy and has 14x zoom which help with aiming. I believe the Germany one has a reverse gearbox which they can achieve the same speed as driving forward. Only complaint is the dart is on the weaker side and they perform like M735, but with 14x gunner sight you can easily find every weakspots even when T-72B/T-80UDs shows up. Not to mention it also has a 20mm intercept first spawn helicopters.
Both no to these. Increasing the BR of the MBT-70 is a very bad idea. And so is removing the APFSDS on the XM803. The APFSDS is literally the reliable round for these tanks… You expect everyone to run around with HEAT and ATGMs?
Very meaningful comment. XM-803 is a 100% or at least was made for, american version of the program, with cheaper cost and american parts. While the MBT-70 did shared some characteristics and technical similarity with the german KPz-70.
MBT-70/KPz-70 was a joint project between US and Germany. The only real difference between them is the autoloader, German one reloads standard rounds faster, while the American one reloads missiles faster. The XM803, as already stated, was the Americans trying to make the whole project cheaper.
This is a ridiculous thought to me. Why would we artificially buff the penetration just to move it? It really doesn’t need to be moved to begin with, I think you just die to it a lot and are getting angry with it. Its armor compared to other tanks in the same area isn’t the greatest, same with reload rate, and shell penetration, it’s just very mobile. As long as you can pen the turret (which there are weak spots around the optics), you’re pretty much guaranteed a kill, never shoot the hull. The 20mm is subject to shell shattering hell, it’s really only good against aircraft and modules.
for context MBT 70 was modified with different systems such as an autocannon a different autoloader and the new engine wich is why its better than the XM 803 Despite being the same in every other aspect
Rarely. Facing the USSR’s 10.3 lineup makes them useless. They’re also useless in their sim brackets currently. Your logic also applies to literally every vehicle in game.
Strong for the BR, sure, but low performing Sabot rounds and pretty average armor mean it’s fine at 9.0/9.3.
Kind of a default for most tanks, autocannons aren’t meant to frontally engage 90% of the time.

Maybe to HEAT, most kinetic rounds have no issue whatsoever except for poorly placed shots.
Justified 0.3 change, the 20mm is much better at killing light vehicles than the .50.
It has hilariously bad rounds and a higher-than-average reload speed, which can be disabled entirely by shooting the auto loader.
Ehh I don’t think that would be good. 750mm pen would put it at one of the highest penetrating tanks in the game. It would also be blatantly unhistorical.
